Q: WHY WAS MY CREDIT CARD CHARGED $179.98 WHEN I TRIED TO REDEEM MY VOL 2 BUNDLE PURCHASE?

I bought Lex as part of the AppSumo Bundle Volume 2: AI Power Pack on 9/23/25.

On 11/13/25 I redeemed my Vol 2 bundle purchase and created my Lex account which was supposed to include 1 year access to the Lex pro plan.

However, as soon as I created my Lex account I had to enter my billing information. After entering my billing information my credit card was charged $179.98 - the price of an annual subscription to Lex.

I waited a few days to see if the charge would be reversed, it was not.

So on 11/18/25 I sent an email to Lex support detailing the fact I was wrongfully charged $179.98.

As of 11/22 I have not received any reply from Lex support.

How I can I get this resolved?

Or do I need to contact my bank to process a chargeback for a fraudulent charge?

This is a strange spot to complain about having a billing issue with AppSumo. You need to reach out to AppSumo. If this problem is addressed, its common courtesy to edit or reply to your complaint to tell people you addressed it and aren't just patiently waiting for the comment above to do the work.

To clarify this was a billing issue with Lex not AppSumo, and you're right I should have updated this comment sooner.

The problem was resolved by Lex two weeks after I first brought it to their attention.

They issued a refund with a half--hearted apology blaming me even though I followed the redemption instructions verbatim
