Solo_lingQ: Is there any more information for a complete beginner?
Hi, I have looked at your YouTube channel and knowledge base, but I can not find any information on "Getting Started". I know very little about local search, and my customers know even less. But I would like to help them increase their overall SEO. I am OK with website SEO, but want to learn more about Local. I have no problem buying a 3 or 4-tier plan, but I am hesitant, given the lack of beginner help. This is a whole new world for me, and I realise I need to learn the basics elsewhere, but I cannot see in any of your documentation how I would connect to a GMB account that is not mine. Please help.

At the moment, we don’t offer a full “Local SEO for beginners” guide or step-by-step training course. Rating Captain is intentionally built as a tool, not a learning platform.
What we do provide is:
- an AI Agent inside the app, which analyzes the Google Business Profile and points out specific areas that need improvement,
- clear recommendations on what should be fixed or optimized to improve visibility and rankings,
- data and insights you can use to explain to a business why action is needed and what should be done next.
In other words, the platform supports your decision-making and sales process, but the foundational Local SEO knowledge is something you’ll need to acquire externally.
The best and fastest way is usually:
- YouTube courses on Local SEO / Google Business Profile optimization,
- practical guides on how GBP rankings work, citations, reviews, proximity, relevance, etc.
Thanks. I have several clients for whom I know this will help. However, I would have no idea how to manage their local business profiles through your tool. That is the bit I am struggling with. Or perhaps I am wrong, and I should be telling my clients to buy their own license?
