BYOK should materially reduce your ongoing costs related to servicing the LTD accounts. Why would you not want the lower tiers to also reduce your costs by using our own keys?

That’s a very valid question, and I’m happy to provide an answer. The decision to offer Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) to tier 2 & 3 is based on a few considerations. Firstly, there are still other technical costs involved in servicing the lower tiers, such as data processing, file indexing, and data storage. These costs may not be significantly reduced by implementing BYOK.
Additionally, as a startup, my team and I try to create the best possible product for our customers, including both Sumo-lings and other users. By offering BYOK to Tier 2 and 3, it serves as an incentive for Sumo-lings to invest in Afforai at a higher tier. This, in turn, helps us generate revenue and continue improving our product.
