info1868cQ: What does BYOK mean?
Will this limit the usage I may have in the platform and is it a requirement?
I am new to the AI/GPT world and really want to use this (hoping I am right), for my business to provide more efficient access to relevant information to our business (we deal with legislation, codes of practice, information on website etc... around health, safety, environment and quality).

With BYOK enabled, you won't be charged credits for queries, file uploads, or using the file wizard. So, you can use Afforai without any credits limitation.
You can also switch back and forth between using credits and your API key. The freedom is yours 100%.
With BYOK feature via OpenRouter, you can choose different AI models, including GPT-4, Claude, etc.
So, I think BYOK gives you more freedom with the platform, not limiting it. It's not a requirement at all. You can choose to just use Afforai credits.

And yes, Afforai was started with this goal in mind. For your use case, you can upload one or many research papers to Afforai and the Afforai chatbot will be your companion. It can recall information, summarize the main information, and give you citations on the documents to back up its answer.
