disoftQ: RTILA X standalone bot architecture
Hi there!
With the current RTILA X standalone bot architecture, the executable uses its snips_id to fetch the encrypted configuration from the RTILA Snips server at runtime.
If RTILA Corporation or the Snips service were ever discontinued, would already distributed standalone executables continue to work?
Specifically:
1. Is there currently any option to embed the complete automation configuration inside the executable so it can run permanently without contacting RTILA servers?
2. Can Plan 6 / Enterprise users self-host the Snips backend and point their standalone bots to their own server?
3. If none of these are currently possible, is an offline/self-hosted fallback planned, and would existing AppSumo Plan 6 customers receive it?

The initial architecture implementation used the snips.sh publish service to guarantee functionality. However, after a lot of tests the team found that the best secure option without having to force any SSH-related tasks on user machines is to have a custom service coded entirely from scratch. In few days, a new marketplace dedicated to hosted and ready-to-use templates following this same logic will launch.
Regarding offline and self-hosted fallbacks, the related code may be published as open-source. Although we believes that will still maintain a strong market position, allowing users to host and customize the remote destination host is an idea that will be considered and supported after finishing the official marketplace.
All AppSumo customers who got the standalone bot will continue to receive it just like what was done for the RTILA X version and the same policy will follow for upcoming upgrades. The team is currently focusing heavily on the standalone feature, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly if you need any help with that.
