For example if I bought the domain "email.com" could I receive emails to "support@email.com" without hosting that email anywhere like GoDaddy or zoho etc

Absolutely, you can.
You can add your domain to Mutant Mail, and create any number email ids on it upto specified plan limit.
The flow will be,
Customer > you@your_domain.com > MM routing (behind scene) > you@control/recipient id.com > Reply > MM routing (behind scene) > Customer receives it as "you@your_domain.com"
In this example,
your_domain.com is any domain you purchased.
you@control/recipient id.com is any email id that you already have (like gmail, hotmail, yahoo or any self hosted)
