A nice idea executed as a nice product
Mini Course Generator (MCG) is easy to use and has lots of potential uses — I've only experimented a bit so far, but like it. And while my entrepreneurial ideas are more 'budding' than 'actual' at the moment, I feel confident that I'll find several worthwhile ways to use this nifty software — it might even be a significant tool in my overall kit.
(For some great ideas for use, see their blog post at https://minicoursegenerator.com/blog/11-creative-ways-to-use-mini-courses-the-comprehensive-guide/)
The features all seem to work as they should — for example, custom domains are easy to add and manage and the editor works well. You can always find small things to improve of course, but it's good and of course the developer will refine it and extend it over time. So far, I haven't spotted any problems.
The AI assistant is an interesting differentiator, and is nice to have to help generate ideas — but to be honest, even as just a starting point, it is rather hit and miss (like most of these AI tools are in my experience — they generally need a lot of 'steering' inputs to have a good hit rate). No doubt it works much better for some niches and phrases than it does for others though.
If you already have a licence for an AI tool like Niche$$$ then it's pretty easy to generate a listicle or whatever there, refine it, and then create it in MCG — so don't feel too constrained by the limit on how many you can generate directly within MCG.
It's very quick and easy to create slides and the fact that the media options include not just the usual but also Giphy (animated images and memes) and Unsplash (photos) is very convenient and makes it very quick to create many kinds of slide.
The ability to add a link and/or PDF is great, and the ability to insert HTML is very useful indeed.
The only negatives I can think of is that the styling could do with a little refinement in places and the quiz feature feels a bit bare (no summary of correct/incorrect answers, for instance). But it's a great start and I'm sure the developer will improve these in due course.
The one question I needed to ask so far was answered quickly by Support. All in all, very happy with MCG so far and I look forward to new useful new features that I didn't even know I wanted!

May 9, 2024Wow! What a comprehensive and detailed review! thanks a lot for sharing your feedback with the community and with us.
I agree with you that styling needs to be improved. It is (in general, "customization") one of the priorities on our roadmap.
As you mentioned, we are at the beginning and our journey to build a great product continues without any hesitation:)
Thanks for your support and for joining MCG community!
All the best,
