In production, we have a saying which is KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid!) After purchasing and using over 20 different LMS (Learning Management Systems) I came across Mini Course Generator. It is indeed a hidden gem. Unsophisticated and simple! I started first with their free version and loved it so much I purchased the paid version.

This perhaps is not a tool for schools or big corporations - although it can be used by them for small specific niches. MCG also doesn’t have a sophisticated learning curve. I made my first mini-course in 5 minutes and it worked great on my laptop and smart devices. It is an excellent tool for teachers, coaches, counselors, pastors, nonprofit educators, or small business owners who wish to teach or get their messages across in simple and unique ways. It has almost everything you need to include videos, audio, text, and PDF's. It can easily serve as a lead magnet or funnel.

I’ve read some of the questions and comments poised by some subscribers. My comment is that if you want a sophisticated LMS system this is not for you. So don’t expect it. But do expect it to outperform many other “marketing” apps and fly-by-night products out there. I have purchased some LMS products on AppSumo and can tell you that I will be using MCG! This is not “wishy” software. Onur and his team have really tried to make it simple and easy. They also have responded to all my questions and concerns. They listen and respect their clients well.

You can add youtube and vimeo video links, but I also like that you can embed video players within the system to hide the brandings and end cards.

I was concerned about the long MCG name, but glad that we have the option to remove them as well as social media links. If we are creating for a specific small private group then we don’t need for it to be easily shared in social media. The MCG name may be long, but I like it because it totally describes what it does best!
