Q: Gamma

What's the difference between nextdocs and gamma ai? How does the generation video work? And its credit consumption?

A: Great question. NextDocs and Gamma overlap in AI presentations, but the workflow is a bit different. Gamma is great for quickly generating a deck, while NextDocs is built more like an AI-native Google Slides / Canva experience where you can generate, edit, refine, and export with more control.

A few key differences:

- Native canvas-style editing instead of being mainly template-driven
- Multi-generation from the same prompt, so you are not stuck with one result
- Multi-model support across GPT, Claude/Opus, Gemini, and others
- Ability to compare outputs from different models side by side
- More agentic workflow: the AI can create, review, and help improve the result
- Upload support for PDFs, Word docs, PowerPoints, images, and other source material
- Stronger workflow for turning existing content into a polished presentation or document
- Flexible exports including PDF, PowerPoint, Google Slides, and MP4/video

The file upload workflow is a big part of it. You can bring in existing material, and the AI will extract the relevant information and use it to create a presentation or document. So instead of only starting from a blank prompt, you can start from your actual business docs, reports, PDFs, pitch materials, images, or existing slide decks.

Another important difference is multi-model generation. You can run the same prompt across different models and compare the results. One model may produce a better structure, another may have stronger copy, and another may take a more creative direction.

Video generation works by turning generated slides/pages into animated video-style outputs that can be exported as MP4. So you can use it for explainers, social content, pitch videos, or more dynamic versions of a deck.

Credit usage depends on the mode and workload. Fast uses fewer credits, Quality is for polished everyday work, and Premium uses stronger models. Multiple versions, higher-end models, file-heavy generations, and media generation will use more credits.
