Q: Clarification on Hyperise Development & PageTest.AI Status

Hi Ian — I’m a long-time Hyperise customer. I noticed you’re selling PageTest.AI on AppSumo, where the listing shows “Acquisition/Merger” under company status.

Is PageTest.AI (or any related company) actually in an acquisition/merger process, or is that just how AppSumo labels the listing?

What’s the current roadmap and active development plan for Hyperise (features, integrations, and maintenance)?

Should Hyperise customers expect ongoing updates and support in 2025–2026, or is development in maintenance mode?

If a transaction is happening, will LTD and existing customers for both products be honored post-transaction?
Thanks! I’m evaluating how to plan our personalization stack and just want clarity.

A: Hey, the two products are not related. I’ve personally not been involved with Hyperise for almost 18 months, other than having a remaining sharehold, the development and support of the product since then has been in the hands of the existing founding team.

For any details on that product, it’s best to direct those questions to the support team at Hyperise. There is an active support channel...

Q: How long to see results?

Hey

Just testing the free version right now and was wondering when I'm able to see results. I implemented the code via the header install for faster loading times. But every single time I refresh I see the same things, so no tests. How long before the test are active?

A: Great question!

Once the script is installed, tests start running straight away, but there are a couple of things to know:

1. Variants don’t change on every refresh
When a visitor is bucketed into a variant, PageTest.AI keeps them in that same group (using a tiny cookie/local storage) so they always see the same version. That’s why refreshing your browser will keep showing you the same thing...

Q: Can you track multiple click elements as a goal on a page if they are all the same goal?

A: Not at present its only one click element, but this is on the roadmap

Q: GDPR Compliant?

I'm testing your free version right now. The impressions don't seem to be coming through yet, but I'll wait a few hours.

Other than that: Is this plugin GDPR compliant? I assume it sends data to your servers all the time. Is it possible to store this data only within the WordPress database?

I can't use A/B testing if it changes the text only after a visitor has accepted the cookie banner. That's a bit too odd.

A: Yes, PageTest.AI is fully GDPR compliant.

A couple of points to clear things up:

1. What data we collect
We don’t collect any personally identifiable information (PII). The test script only tracks anonymous engagement signals (e.g. which variation was seen, whether a button was clicked, scroll depth, conversion events if configured).

2. Where the data goes
Test data is sent securely to our...

Q: Delay in Variant Rendering During A/B Test

Before subscribing to your offer, we wanted to test your solution. However, we noticed an issue: the script loads slowly. Specifically, the original version of the page appears first, and then, about one second later, it switches to the test variant (for example, the default H1 is displayed and then replaced afterwards by the modified H1).
Could you let us know if this behavior is expected? Are there any recommendations to avoid this visual delay, or is it a known issue that will be fixed?

A: Great question, what you’re seeing is the classic “flicker” (the control renders, then the variant replaces it). It’s normal if the testing script fires a moment after the initial paint (common with GTM defaults), but we can reduce it to near-invisible.

Here’s how to tighten it up:

1) Fire the snippet as early as possible

Direct install: Place the PageTest.AI script at the very top of...
