Q: Press Cookie-Consent Banner

A lot of european websites got full screen cookie banners, are these "clickable" via the API - for example by providing the button class?

A: Hi there 👋

Yes, you can handle such cookie banners by injecting custom CSS or JavaScript through the API. PeekShot supports parameters like inject_css and inject_js, which let you modify the page before taking the screenshot — for example, clicking buttons, hiding banners, or adjusting layout elements.

For more details and usage examples, please refer to our documentation:...

Q: “When to Take Screenshot” Options

I was going through your API documentation and couldn’t find any options related to screenshot timing triggers. For example, taking a screenshot after page idle, after network idle (1 or 2), or after DOM / full page load.

Could you please confirm if your tool currently supports any of these trigger conditions?
If not, do you have plans to add such options in the future?

Also, I would like to know under the current setup, on which specific event or trigger does your tool take the screenshot by default?

A: Hi there 👋

Thanks for checking out PeekShot and diving into our API!

At the moment, PeekShot captures screenshots when the "DOMContentLoaded" event fires — meaning the initial HTML document has been completely loaded and parsed. Currently, there isn’t an option to customize the trigger (e.g., after page idle, network idle, or full page load).

However, this feature is already on our internal...

Q: Credit packs?

Any chance we can get non expiring credit packs for when we go over our limits for the month?
Instead of losing ability to use the software we could just have it auto deduct from the credit packs. Bonus points if you can have it automatically replenish when the credit packs expire as well. This would make it to where once its setup you barely ever have to worry about it again since it will cover all bases.

A: We don’t support automatic overages yet, but we know how important that is for smooth API usage.

We're working on:

1) Real-time email notifications when you're nearing your quota.

2) Backup payment support for optional top-ups.

Also, let us know roughly how many credits you expect to need monthly — it’ll help us prioritize early access and improvements.

Q: Track Changes

I've seen several times mentioned that this can be used to track changes. Is that a manual check or is that automated through the API? If not can this feature be added?

A: Right now, PeekShot doesn’t automatically detect or highlight visual changes, but many agencies use our API to capture scheduled screenshots and then compare them manually using image diff tools or custom logic on their end.

But we agree it would be a powerful addition — especially for monitoring updates or spotting unexpected changes.

We’d love for you to add this feature request to our...

Q: Update on HTML process + Credit expiry

I wanted to see if you were any closer to adding the HTML to image feature (like someone had mentioned, turning an email into an image).

I also wanted to know what happens if you go pass the API quota for a month?

A: Thanks for checking in!

The HTML-to-image feature is definitely on our roadmap, and we know it’s a highly requested one — especially for use cases like turning emails into images. That said, our current focus this month is on bringing no-code integrations like Activepieces, so users can easily build workflows without writing code.

Once that’s in place, we’ll be turning our attention to...
