Q: Use case questions

Hi, I redesign websites and have to migrate information onto other platforms. I have 2 questions about this product:
1. What file type do the screenshots save as?
2. Does this work well for my use case to take screenshots for reference to help with website migrations (I need references to refer to requently when designing a new site.) Where I can just do screenshots in bulk one time rather than a scheduled event ?

A: Hi,

Yes, PeekShot should work well for your use case.

1) Screenshot formats: By default, screenshots are saved as PNG. If you're using the API, you can also choose JPG, AVIF, or WebP.
2) Bulk screenshots: You can capture screenshots of multiple websites at once using Bulk Screenshot. So you can upload a list of URLs, capture them all in one batch, and then use those screenshots as visual...

Q: Full Page Toggle Resets Every Time – Can This Be Fixed?

Hi PeekShot team, is there a way to make the ‘full page’ setting stick as the default once I’ve turned it on, rather than having to re-enable it every time I input a new website URL? It would save a lot of time when processing multiple sites back to back. Would love to see this as a saved preference or default toggle. Thanks!

A: Thanks for the suggestion! I really like the idea of having a Saved Preferences option.
I'll make a note of it and include it in one of the next updates, so PeekShot can remember your preferred capture settings between captures.
Thanks again for the feedback!

Q: 1 screen shot per credit or 4? Google Drive?

I see in an answer to a question that 1credit is used for a screenshot but the deal popover says 1 screenshot is 4 credits. Which is correct?

Also, is the google drive integration included in these plans?

A: Hi,

Thanks for your questions!

A standard screenshot costs just 1 credit. The AppSumo deal page showing 4 credits per screenshot is incorrect. I'll contact the AppSumo team to get that corrected.

Regarding Google Drive Integration, it's available as part of the PeekShot Pro add-on, along with several other advanced features such as:

1) Website Change Monitoring
2) Exact-time Scheduling

Q: Why the downgrade on functionality

Why did you remove features from the app with the new interface? There is no way to delete images from projects and now we have to go into each project to view the images instead seeing images as they came in from all projects etc. This eems more like a move to create a watered down version so we have to upgrade to get the functionality back we paid for. Can you please clarify if this is an in progress move where we will get finctionality back

A: Hi,
Thanks for the honest feedback. I completely understand where you're coming from.
The delete functionality is already available. Just click "Select Webpages", choose the screenshots you want, and you'll see options to Recapture, Download, or Delete the selected webpages.
Regarding the image list view, that's helpful feedback. If that's the workflow you preferred, I can certainly bring it...

Q: Interface Change?

Why did you change the interface? I was a fan of previous version with snpshot preview and direkt download from settings-view.

A: Hi,

That's a fair question.

The main reason for the redesign was user feedback. I received quite a few comments that the previous interface felt overwhelming and too complex, especially for new users. Some AppSumo users even requested refunds because they found it difficult to understand where to start and how different features were connected.

The new interface is a simplified version of...
