I’ve reviewed a lot of AI tools on AppSumo, and Personeo stands out because it’s actually built for VARIOUS (interchangeable) AI role-play training, which is something most other AI tools only do loosely or indirectly.

What I like most is how flexible the role simulation is. With Personeo you can easily simulate conversations between different roles, such as:
• customers
• employees
• managers
• interviewers
• sales prospects

You can even switch roles during the conversation, which makes it very powerful for training scenarios.

For example, you can set up situations like:
• An angry customer calling about a defective product
• A skeptical buyer questioning a salesperson
• A support agent dealing with complaints
• A manager coaching an employee

The AI can challenge you and make the interaction feel very realistic.

What really makes Personeo valuable is the training framework around the AI, not just the AI conversation itself. The platform includes:
• scenario templates
• defined roles
• performance feedback
• scoring and evaluation
• structured training modules
• team training possibilities

This turns it into something closer to a conversation training simulator, rather than just another AI chat tool.

Many other AppSumo AI products are:
• chatbot builders
• prompt tools

Those can sometimes role-play if you push them with prompts, but they usually lack structure, analytics, scoring, and training design.

Personeo fills that gap really well.

Compared to enterprise platforms that do AI sales or negotiation simulations (which often cost hundreds or thousands per year), this LTD is actually very affordable for what it offers.

I also see interesting possibilities beyond just sales training. For example, it could be used for:

• ethical sales practice simulations

Definitely worth trying if you want to practice realistic conversations, training simulations, or customer interaction ("customer coaching") scenarios. That's very impressive.

I just hope they come out with an iOS app and allow this to speak in Japanese by 2027 if not sooner ( ^.^)(^.^ )/.

If insufficient data is provided, the AI may attempt to fill in gaps by generating very convincing examples or illustrations that may appear factual but are actually inferred or hypothetical. Still, exceptional in flow.

This behavior seems to be part of its design, allowing users to have a smoother and more creative training experience when working through conceptual scenarios.

Despite this limitation, I still find the platform very useful and plan to continue using it. In the future, it would be great to see an option or toggle that allows users to restrict or override fictional assumptions, characters, or unsupported claims when factual accuracy is required.

One additional strength I noticed is that the system appears capable of handling significantly larger data inputs in a single upload than what I’ve typically experienced with ChatGPT. Wow! Good stuff there! Thanks

I love this tool. I wanted a way to practice communication, so I created several personas to train different language patterns, solution‑focused questions, and reframing techniques—and it works really well. The feedback it provides is specific and helpful. I’d recommend it to aspiring coaches, mediators, and other professional communicators who want to hone their language skills. The user interface is clean, the feature set is solid, and stability has been good so far. With a few small refinements to core functionality and usability, it will be excellent.

Wishlist (nice to have for the future): support for multi‑party chats (two or more personas) to simulate not only mediation scenarios but also roundtable discussions with multiple buyer personas and/or advisors (e.g., SEO, sales).

I nearly refunded this app due to a lack of time and also because I thought it wouldn't suit one of my use cases which was interviews, but I decided to challenge it with a quick test.
The test was a probing Behavioral interview with the CEO of a large company for a new role as Commercial Finance Director, this is not a waffle and wing it situation but one that requires deep technical experience backed up with strong factual evidence and with great communication.
The prompt took me 25 minutes and the interview itself was only 30 minutes, but much to my surprise the questions were pretty good, possibly the interviewer was too easily satisfied, or maybe my answers were just awesome!! But normally I would expect at least 2-3 questions probing deeper into the first answer but to be fair I am a detail guy (ok verbose!) so possibly one question was enough. Regardless it was certainly not a waste of time and actually very good as a process.
Outcome: The feedback too was very helpful in the most part, a few things I didnt agree with but 90% plus was both fair and helpful, so Im keeping it - to be fair the vendor said its not yet optimised for interviews but I hope they will do it.
AI certainly seems to be progressing now, I know I could just use typing into AI but the voice and transcription features and prompt enchancement just make this far more efficient and useful to me.
Well done Personoai, please do donsider optimising for interviews and consider the usual stuff such as "ummm" spotting. Im expecting even better results for its core jobs of pre sales meetings too. For this stage it is a solid 5 for now from me, more improvements and development will be needed for a secure future of course

Not only a great product, but an awesome customer support. They are clearly active and involved in the product. I had an issue (which was my fault) a few months after the purchase and they got it solved in a matter of hours.

Personeo is truly a fantastic tool and already extremely useful in my daily work. The ability to train negotiation, communication, and sales skills through structured simulations makes it a powerful instrument both for beginners and for those looking to refine already advanced competencies. The use of AI avatars in actual role-playing games is a fascinating idea, different from many solutions currently on the market, and opens up application scenarios across many sectors: sales training, customer care, leadership, public speaking, and much more.

What I appreciate most is the combination of realistic practice and the safety of a simulated environment: you can experiment, make mistakes, try again, all without risk and with tremendous learning value. Precisely for this reason, I see enormous potential for product growth in the medium to long term and I am very confident about its future development.

Looking ahead, I believe that a further step toward maturity will be a higher degree of personalization, for example:

the ability to display your own brand and visual identity within the experience
CNAME/whitelabel options to integrate it even more seamlessly into your own digital ecosystems
If these features are introduced, I would be ready to immediately upgrade from my current Tier 3, because I see in Personeo not just an excellent tool available today, but a truly strategic platform for training and developing skills in the AI era.
