I consider appsumo Plus is a waste of money!

Get a 100% refund in credits if a Select tool goes out of business within 1 year of purchase.

But this is not working, I am not getting my purchase price refunded!

It's like an endless ping-pong game, I don't get any answers from support, just replies that have nothing to do with the issue.

What happened?

I was a Plus Member and purchased the Sizzy deal (developer tool for responsive websites) in May 2024.

By the end of December 2024, I had already noticed that there were minor problems with the tool. Since I couldn't log in online either, I contacted the developer by email in January 2025 and “cc'd” Appsumo. In my email, I briefly mentioned that the updates weren't working and that I couldn't log in. I have not received a response to date.

In the meantime, I have discovered that there were apparently initial reports as early as November 2024 that not only were there problems with the tool, but that further development had been discontinued. This is evident from the reviews on Appsumo, at least, and Appsumo has therefore been aware of this problem since then.

Since I have not received any response, solution, or even access to my account at “Sizzy” since January 2025, it is clear that this deal has been dead since at least that time.

According to the warranty, a deal that was discontinued within 12 months of purchase should also be replaced.

So why not in my case?

After all, far less than 12 months have passed between May 2024 and January 2025! The promise states that the warranty applies if the offer no longer exists as advertised within 12 months of purchase.

This is the case with “Sizzy.”

Believing that I had nothing to worry about, I had been waiting for the developer's response. Now the warranty is being interpreted to mean that I should have claimed the money within 12 months? Where does that say in your warranty?

It cannot be that I, as a buyer (with over 100 purchases), have to constantly check when a deal no longer works within the 12 months in order to receive the guarantee. It should be sufficient that Appsumo is aware that the deal no longer exists, and if this became known within the one-year period, the guarantee promise (for which I also paid $100) should be honored.

Therefore, I consider Plus to be a waste of money!
