How would someone use Pressranger to promote a new book? I've used other services before that were not easy. Can you do mass promotion on here without manually writing to every journalist? Thanks
A: Hey there, Yes of course. The right way to promote a book would not be to do mass promotion. That's generally not going to be effective beyond a press release. Within Press Ranger there are 3 key ways to promote a book: - Reach out to journalists and publishers within the sector and offer to be an interview subject, pitch a story, send advanced copies, etc. - Reach out to podcasts with a list of key topics and offer to come on as a guest - Do a Wholesale press release distribution so that you do get coverage in Business Insider, Market Watch, Yahoo Finance, AP News, ChatGPT, etc. and then use those links as social proof on your website and in your pitches.
I wish it were as easy as sending a mass email but I've never seen that work!
A: Hey Richard Yes of course, you can use Press Ranger to promote pretty much everything. For a fashion brand, consider reaching out to the most popular fashion writers with a relevant, intriguing pitch and/or reaching out to fashion podcasts to offer to come on a guest.

Q: Do we manually reach out with our own emails? Submit to Free Press Release Sites?
Does your software handle the emailing of contacts? Can we do bulk outreach to targeted contacts? There used to be software on the market that would submit to free press release sites to get some traction. Do you do this too? Instead of one by one all of them at once or on a schedule to make it more practical for us instead of one bye one.
A: Hey Jake Good question. We don't do any sending of emails via Press Ranger, all of it is from your own inbox. We do this to prevent spamming and to ensure the emails that are send have the highest deliverability rating possible and that a few bad apples can't spoil it for everyone. A lot of the larger PR softwares have struggles with deliverability because they were using shared SMTP servers in the past few years.

We don't do free submissions for press releases because we found that they never had an impact. We have many guides on the best way to approach this, check them out here: https://quickest-march-747.notion.site/bf9689270d134ea9a781d28541140ca4?v=a1c5f19cf7144dabbb924de381d4727a&pvs=4
A: There's 40 Pitch Notifications on the highest tier, is that what you mean? If so, each notification is for one keyword and there's no limit on how many emails we send for each one. So if you want to know about each time a journalist is writing a story about 'marketing' and needs a source, one Pitch Notification would be sufficient to monitor that query forever regardless of how many emails are sent when we see it.
Thank you for reading sense into my jumbled question! This is amazing, I will upgrade right now. Love your software, it is far beyond what I have seen (and I have seen a lot and done a lot of PR).
Hey Steve, aside from vanity purposes, are there any compelling reasons to stack codes to unlock Custom domain media room feature? Is this mainly an agency feature? Thanks.
A: Good q. The user/company limits are definitely geared towards agencies but using a custom domain for a media room and pitch notifications are pretty universal. Stacking also gives access to the new things we're cooking, too though. Plenty in the works for the future!
