Q: Hi Steve, Congrats on Press Rangers success! I'm a little confused about Pitch notifications.
I currently have a tier 4, but I haven't utilized your platform yet. I assume people can reach out and contact me, so what are pitch notifications? What's the advantage that they provide over normal notifications? Thank you!
A: Yes it totally does and we have good coverage in Scandinavia but Feel free to sign up for a free account at https://pressranger.com to check out the data before buying a code. Always happy to provide specific strategies and help via steve@pressranger.com, too.
Q: Is this a good recommendation for a digital marketing agency to use to build their own backlink profile?
I run a digital marketing agency and we are currently trying to build our guest post and backlink profile to increase the organic rankings of our website. I am fairly new to PR, is this a tool that we can use to pitch strong guest posts? Or is this better suited for publication worthy stories only such as nonprofit work, big breaking news, and so on? Just want to make sure it is worth the invemesment and brings return.
A: Hey there Both strategies would work on Press Ranger and we have good case studies of both. It's going to come down to the quality of pitches you send and the relevance for where they're sent- both of which Press Ranger helps with.

Q: need clarity on that distribution access - is it 100% included or extra cost?
If I buy 1 code, do I get "free" access to publish press releases directly to Business Insider, MarketWatch, Yahoo Finance, AP News, Bloomberg Terminals, Dow Jones Terminals, etc. — or is there an additional fee for this feature?
A: Hey there- You can create unlimited press releases and distribute them to unlimited journalists and publishers via the journalist database and publisher database. There are no costs for running your own campaigns and sending out releases that way and that's the way most people do it.
Additionally, you have access to wholesale pricing on press release distribution which is an add-on for users who do not want to send press releases manually and just want to publish press releases on Business Insider, MarketWatch, Yahoo Finance, Financial Post, Globe and Mail, AP News, etc.
Bit of history, during our first AppSumo campaign, we asked everyone what we should build and the #1 most requested feature was to be able to publish press releases at wholesale prices. *But you don't have to use it.* You can use Press Ranger’s media database to distribute your press releases to any publisher or journalist within our network. The distribution service is just a one-click way to save your time to guarantee distribution at top-tier publishers.
Happy to answer any questions if you have any more.
I’m wondering the same thing. I bought tier 2 thinking it was free distribution and haven’t tried it yet but it looks like it’s paid. I hope I’m wrong though.
You can do cheaper releases on many other sites but these are not actual press releases. It's just a bunch of low quality links that have no impact. The AppSumo comment area isn't long enough to actually provide a breakdown of the comparison between what we do and other services but please email me and I can send it to you, steve@pressranger.com
Okay. That's a bummer. I thought the PR distribution was part of the deal, not an extra paid thing. We've had success with simple PR for getting pickups. Do you offer something simple like that?
And again it's important to note that there's no requirement to use Wholesale press release distribution. You can run PR campaigns, respond to pitch requests, do podcast booking campaigns for yourself or your clients, and tons of other things without any extra fee.
I can add access to our Basic package that we sunsetted in March of this year which was $79/release. If you email me at steve@pressranger.com I can share more details, i would put it here but the character limit is too short
Q: Good for getting a golfer noticed?
I am considering purchasing in order to help promote my teenage son in the golf industry. Are there sports podcasters, bloggers, and digital press?

Q: Does this work in Norway and Scandinavia?
I have a very branch spesific job in construction and wonder if this is a world wide thing, or mostly for the Americas?

yes, you have to pay $300 or $400 extra "to be able to publish press releases at wholesale prices"

Those do not feel wholesale for only 400+ sites. You can send out 400+ for less than $50 on PeoplePerHour or Fiverr.
