Q: Can you clarify prompt privacy, third-party AI processing, and Chrome extension access?
Hi, I reviewed your Privacy Policy. I understand Pretty Prompt collects email, product analytics, and prompts submitted for improvement, and that you state prompts are not used for AI training, analytics, marketing, or secondary purposes.
Before purchasing, can you clarify: 1. Which third-party AI/infrastructure providers process user prompts? 2. Do those providers store, retain, log, or train on...

A: Hi Marcus,
1. Which third-party AI/infrastructure providers process user prompts? - We use a mixture of third party providers such as Gemini and OpenAI depending on what you're prompting.
2. Do those providers store, retain, log, or train on prompts? - No they don't use the data for training as we access via their APIs instead of the Chat interface. You can read their privacy policies here...
Does Pretty Prompt’s Chrome extension read only the text I actively submit for improvement, or can it access the full page content, chat history, prompts, and responses inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other AI platforms?
Pretty Prompt will only read the text you submit and the conversation history to understand context. It doesn't touch any other content on the page (e.g. history, projects, other platforms).
Hi! I was about to upgrade my tier because I thought the export feature was available. However, after checking, I can't find any export functionality in my account, as shown on your site: https://prettypromptai.substack.com/i/185444663/export-saved-prompts. My decision to use the prompt library depends on this feature.

A: Hi, we don't have a specific roadmap link.
A public API and MCP isn't something we're looking at right now as our main focus in the last couple of weeks has been the new upcoming desktop application so you can improve prompts from beyond the browser in other applications.
Pretty Prompt does have a team plan and shared libraries and it is optimised for the specific medium that you're...
Q: The Pretty Prompt deal for 1 user was perfect. Why ruin it?
The Pretty Prompt deal was perfect. Why ruin it?
The offer included no limit on context memory snippets. Now a limit of 3 snippets has been introduced in Tier 1. But if I only need one account, why should my user experience be downgraded? And why, to get the full experience, do I have to buy a 4-user plan that I won’t even use?
I find it really disappointing to see a deal that felt clear and...

A: Hey! Nothing has changed, when we first launched Pretty Prompt here, there was no context snippets (as well as many other features!) Which we built especially for this community, with love, dedication, care and a lot of focus. Since we launched it was always limited as it's now, and if it wasn't, then was probably a glitch 😅
I'm sorry you feel like this, I can only say we genuienly care about...
Hi, Ilaiszp In a review on YouTube recorded about a week ago there wasn’t any differentiation between Tier1 (with snippets) and Tier2 (without snippet limits). Anyway, my point is: why downgrade my experience or, in order to have the full experience, require me to buy a 4-user plan when I only need a 1-user plan? That feels a bit at odds with love, dedication, and care and not very user-focused.
Hey, no experience was downgraded. When I recorded the video you'll probably see I was not on any AppSumo tier, this was launched post AppSumo 1st campaign.
All AppSumo Tiers have some kind of limit on features as you can see on the table below, unlimited everything are only on our website regular plans. We've always been super transparent and honest about it. You can see that throughout. 🙌
Of course, your transparency and honesty are not in question.
The YouTube video I’m referring to is "This Tool Makes Regular People Prompt Engineers" by Dave Swift, at the 12:11 mark. If you added the feature later, why make it available only from Tier 2 onward? That doesn't seem to be in the spirit of AppSumo:
"Get lifetime access to Pretty Prompt" "All future Pro (Tiers 1-5) Plan updates"
I only wanted to know: 1) if you added the snippet feature later, why not giving it to everybody, in the spirit of AppSumo. 2) And conversely why forcing Tier 1 to get 3 more user licences (he will never use) in order to have the full experience. I keep asking, and I keep not getting an answer.
Is possible to use the pretty prompt extension directly to ChatGPT Desktop App as well as Codex App and Perplexity App in Mac OS?

A: Hey! This is not yet available, but we're about to release the Mac App in beta to a small number of users for testing. This will allow you to use it anywhere :)
What does a mac app mean? That is, not integrating pretty prompts into different desktop AI apps but using a "Pretty Prompt AI App" delegating to different AI models?
Pretty Prompt Mac App means an app you download to your Mac Laptop, and you can then use Pretty Prompt in the same way as it works in the browser, but on any app in your laptop like ChatGPT Desktop App, etc.
If I understand correctly from this Pretty Prompt Mac App will it be possible to send a prompt registered in the library to any AI Desktop App by choosing it (for example in a drop down)?
I haven't a specific use case, I would just understand the features because I use a lot VSCode and different AI desktop App on Mac (Perplexity App, Codex App, Chat Gpt App, etc), so pretty prompt should modify my work style to use it now.
Thanks for sharing the video, so is not a new app, it will be integrated in existing apps (Cursor, Claude App, etc). Seems so in the video, is it correct?
