Q: I thought this was all-in-one, why does Pro require another plugin?
Hi, I bought this expecting a straightforward all-in-one setup. After installing ProfilePress Pro, WordPress says it cannot be activated because required plugins are missing or inactive.
This makes it seem that Pro is not standalone, but depends on a separate free/core plugin. That was not clear before purchase.
Please clarify:
the exact required plugins the correct install order whether this...

A: You only need the Core/Free plugin in addition to the Pro plugin. That is all.
This isn't something new. Elementor and many other plugins have a free version on the plugin repository with a separate pro plugin with all premium features.
As for the weak review, this has been answered so many times if you would please just search for it here.
Q: Why would I buy this if I own StoreEngine + Academy LMS? Any additional Benefits for buying PP?

A: I am not familiar with StoreEngine.
I will implore you to visit our website and critically take a look at our offering and compare with your existing stack. Then make an informed decision.
I love that integrating with Fluent Community is in progress. How deep is that going to go? Im looking for a full dashboard where both users and admins can manage all the necessary aspects of a membership. Will it also integrate with FluentCRM?
Do you plan on expanding the styling options or integrating with blocks/elementor/bricks so we can style them there? I see a few options under Appearance, Field & Styling, Labels & Text, but they're pretty basic and styling via css is cumbersome.
Thank you!

What is the "them" you are referring to? the checkout form?
With WordPress 7.0 and the new Abilities API, has your team looked into allowing users to manage ProfilePress with Abilities? If so, do you have a timeline? I think agentic control over membership details would be a real boon for those who already use them in other areas of WordPress. I believe this should be a focus and wonder your thoughts on the matter.

A: WordPress 7 hasn't even been released.
We will work on Agentic control if we get enough request for it.
And 7.0 hasn't been released yet, but many different plugins already tap into it. But we are really close to 7.0 now, and it has been in the works for several months. Everyone knew the Abilities API was one of the main things being released in 7.0, so it's not like a deep cut or anything. Just clearing that up.
Q: Server-side Content Gating?
Does ProfilePress provide server-side content protection, i.e. does it protect content at the server level rather than browser-side?

A. Do users have a dashboard they can log into and manage their memberships? If so, do you have pics or vids of what that experience looks like?
B. Primarily payment related emails: welcome email, cancelation email, renewal email etc...
C. Yes forms and any other front end facing elements such as the user dashboard.
A. Yes. see https://profilepress.com/article/subscription-management-by-customers/

Demand is certainly there. AppSumo itself is mostly AI tools now.
How can people request Abilities to be a forthcoming feature?
