This is good, but with nuances

Undoubtedly, an important advantage of Rayo is that it does exactly what you assign it to do and does not require additional clarifications or settings, unlike its “relatives,” which generally also manage to create good content, but with one nuance: they deviate from the main idea, filling gaps with data that, although related, are still not relevant to the topic. Rayo does exactly what you ask it to do, and precisely on the given topic. This is essentially the main positive experience of working with Rayo, which earned the service four tacos from me, undoubtedly. And then come the nuances of Rayo.

As with other tools, Rayo still requires control and verification. The biggest problem I encountered was adding verified quotes with links to the appropriate sections of the text. Unfortunately, most quotes were automatically fabricated and linked to 404 pages. Fixing this also required careful work with sources. Adding certain articles (URL/PDF) specifically for quotes from them in a dedicated section during publication creation would be a nice addition.

It would also be desirable to have the option to receive a warning about how much the task will cost the service (at least approximately) and the ability to regulate these expenses — to limit or increase the number of sources, processing, or even the text size, while seeing how this affects the costs (again, at least approximately). And pressing the same element again, if it re-initiates expenses for analysis, should preferably trigger a warning like “Do you really want to restart the process?” (with an indication of the approximate costs).

Ignoring / Focusing on certain resources (certain domain zones / a particular language) would also generally be an additional good factor.

I understand that this was not part of the main idea, but this would allow better planning and spending budgets, as understanding where and what is going will form the basis for calculations and credit allocation. Improving transparency will also enhance the overall impression of the service; I am confident of that.

Best I've found so far for blog writing

I've only used Rayo to create a few blog posts so far, but I'm blown away by it. It takes my blog outlines and crafts them into posts that don't need much tweaking, thus saving me a boatload of time. I love that I can check the sources before writing the blog post to ensure they are accurate.

I recently bought a few programs to test them out and see what the quality of AI-written blog posts is nowadays, and I can confidently say I've initiated refunds for the others, as Rayo is where it's at. Even the tone is written so well and doesn't sound automatically like AI. 100% recommended!

I really wanted to like RAYO.

I genuinely wanted to like RAYO. The branding looks professional, and the overall concept has potential. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been quite frustrating.

The biggest issue are the unprofessional suppport but I will first address the credit system. It’s very difficult to understand what exactly you’re being charged for. Credits are deducted for background actions such as automatic plagiarism checks and image generation inside outlines — even when you don’t actively request those features or even see the outputs. Because of this, my trial credits were used up almost entirely while testing a single article, which made it hard to properly evaluate the platform.

Support responds quickly, which I appreciate. However, the answers I received sometimes contradicted each other, which created additional confusion instead of clarity.
Communication via email has also been challenging. Instead of structured replies, support sometimes sends multiple short emails in quick succession — almost like a live chat — but through email. So you end up receiving several separate messages within the same minute, each containing just a part of a sentence or question. Since this isn’t an actual chat environment, it feels disorganized and makes the communication harder to follow.

Despite the confusion, I decided to purchase the product because I believed in the potential.

Unfortunately, the activation process did not work. I contacted support, provided the invoice and all requested information, but activation still failed, they asked me for information 3 times. Had to confirm my email 2 times. I was told to activate through AppSumo myself, but due to a previous failed attempt, the system wouldn’t allow it. They couldnt change the account. They couldnt add the license. etc etc. The only solution was to request a refund and repurchase the licenses.

After spending several days trying to resolve this, I’m left disappointed. While the response speed is good, the overall support process feels inefficient and unnecessarily complicated.
I’m keeping the license for now because I still see potential in the concept, and I hope the team improves transparency around credits, simplifies activation, and streamlines communication. If those areas improve, I would gladly update this review.

For now, however, it’s a one-star experience for me.

The BEST so far

I’ve experimented with several similar apps, but Rayo is easily the best so far. What sets it apart is the research-first approach; it mirrors the manual workflow my team and I use, but with the added efficiency of AI. This has significantly reclaimed our time, allowing us to focus on high-impact work for our clients.

Additionally, AI-driven auto-tagging for the WordPress integration would be a great touch. I’m patiently awaiting the Shopify integration and hoping for a Make.com or webhook connection soon!

Thank you so much for this — it truly means a lot 🙏😊

Really glad the research-first approach matches how you and your team already work. That’s exactly what we set out to do with Rayo — keep the depth of real research while removing the heavy lifting.

Shopify and the Rayo AI Agent are actually our next releases — shipping in the next few days.
APIs and webhooks are planned right after in the...

Rayo vs Other AI SEO Content Writing Tools --- From an Agency Owner

A different league. That's Rayo.

Most AI writing tools I've used are basic 'ChatGPT skins' that serve you an okay dashboard and mostly unhelpful/directionless tools; with little control over quality or blog structure.

Most other softwares, you hit "generate blog" and slop comes out.

Not with Rayo.

I've been using it for a few days and it is clearly built for people with experience in SEO content writing.

It walks you through setup of the blog: keyword --> sub-keywords --> article title --> content headings and content --> sources --> create post

This is crucial for not generating garbage. With this level of granular control you can produce quality content that will really help your SEO.

Thanks, Rayo. Your product is very well thought out.

I'm excited to properly serve my customers with this quality tool :)

Hey jon60!

Thank you for taking the time to share this. It genuinely means a lot to us.

From day one, our goal with Rayo was not to “generate content,” but to respect the way experienced SEO writers actually think and work. The structure you described, from keyword intent to headings, sources, and final output: is exactly how we hoped people would use the product.

We strongly believe that...
