Q: Why Reap is ending the deal so fast?
I'm surprised to see Reap heading out of the Appsumo store this early. Because, there is not even a video editing timeline to edit video, subtitles still feel glitchy. Preview window is still small. Is this the end of development? If not, why not stay more?
I'm currently sitting at Tier 1(last time refunded tier 3 and bought tier 1 again) Because if there is not significant progress like you mentioned, then how do we users go for higher tiers?
I never cared about reviews that much, only tested what any software provide, that's what made me stick to a software. Your tier 1 provides really good value for money at the moment, that's why I'm sitting there.

May 27, 2025A: Thank you so much for your kind words, support, and for choosing our tool. Your feedback truly means a lot to us. Our experience on AppSumo has been incredible. We came here to connect with early adopters who genuinely need what we’re building and are willing to invest in us as a team, helping us grow reap into a complete platform. Thanks to people like you, we’ve built an amazing community that we’re incredibly grateful for.
As much as we’d love to extend our time on AppSumo, our partnership agreement limits the deal to 60 days. We hope to return to the AppSumo store in the future. In the meantime, we encourage you to consider upgrading your tier if you are interested in the upcoming feature. We’re working hard to deliver the features you’re looking forward to, and we promise to keep pushing forward.
It’s been a busy and productive period for our small but dedicated team. Here are some of the updates we’ve already released while the deal has been live:
New Features and Enhancements:
- Instagram integrations for easier content sharing + TikTok on the way (waiting for app approval)
- Brand templates to maintain visual consistency and customize your video
- Clip quality enhancement with better quality and higher number of clips
- New transcription model for extremely higher accuracy
- Editable titles for customizing clip headings
- Support for new languages and custom fonts
- Faster uploads for larger or segmented files (this enabled larger file support)
- Flexible durations, including a new minimum of 2 minutes for clipping
- 15-minute captions support, with a minimum caption duration of 3 seconds (beats many major player with quality and price in the market)
- Multiple format support (.mkv, .mov, .webm)
- Clip editing and download while processing for faster workflows
Fixes and Improvements:
- Improved video codec compatibility
- Added support for HDR10 and exotic formats
- Extended support for different recording formats in Android and iOS
- Various editor improvements in stability
We’re also working on a major upgrade to our editor, which has been a bottleneck for rolling out even more advanced AI features. This revamped editor should go live in a week or two, unlocking new possibilities and addressing past limitations.
We appreciate your trust in our Tier 1 offering, and if you decide to upgrade to a higher tier, we’ll make sure it’s worth your investment. AppSumo buyers are our earliest believers and investors, and your feedback and support are invaluable to us. We promise to keep delivering features and improvements that make reap even better for you.
While some of these might not look like big updates but they do had huge underlying impact and development overhead. We’re a small team, but we’re moving fast and shipping features day by day always focused on improving your experience. We are in it for the long run!
Thank you again for being part of our journey.
