Yes, you can guide the type of clips Reelify looks for using the AI Focus field in Settings.
We recommend starting with the default setup first, since Reelify is already tuned to find hooks, quotable moments, emotional peaks, and strong short-form clip opportunities, but if you have a specific direction in mind, you can always use AI Focus to steer the results, for example funny moments, sales clips, or any other angle that fits your content.
On the AI side, Reelify uses a custom clipping workflow with several different models, including openai and whisper-based components, all optimized to run smoothly on your Mac, so that none of your videos touch openai, or any other model provider’s servers :)
