A: Hi Netghost, We appreciate all feedback. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Our development team continues to work on back-end projects to improve the user experience. We are also hoping to release the Roadmap soon. Is there a specific new tool or feature you are looking for with our design tool?
This reply seems like you're avoiding the question.
You've still done nothing since coming back to AppSumo, you've not committed to any new templates or improvements, and there's no sign of life on the site.
If this is just another attempt to squeeze as much money as possible from the tool you acquired, you'd probably do better to be upfront about it. At least that way, new users will know they're getting what they see and old users don't have to keep checking for updates every so often.
Thank you for being interested in our lifetime deal. We do not have a specific date for when the deal will be back, but we are constantly evaluating our pricing and promotions to ensure that we offer the best value for our customers.
Q: Another question after reading other peoples questions.
In one answer, when someone was asking about what updates have been implemented over the past 5 years you said:
"In the past years, we have released updates on RelayThat that would help our entire user base. We have updated the user dashboard in the past year along with the ability to rotate elements within the workspace or saved design. We are also adding new layouts. These are just a few of the changes that we have done in the past months."
Could you be a bit more specific about what you've improved? Based on this comment it sounds like over the course of 5 years you've only updated the dashboard and added the ability to rotate elements within the design.
Neither of those are impressive. What else have you done over the past 5 year. I thought I'd give a chance since you were back and hoped there was an improvement, but after using the tool and not being able to even do something as basic as delete an element I added to a design or undo an action, I'm very concerned.
Thinking about refunding. Wondering why I shouldn't.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We’re sorry you weren’t satisfied with our product. Rest assured that we are continuously working on improving our service.
A: Thank you for your interest in our lifetime deal. We do not have a specific date for when the deal will be back, but we are constantly evaluating our pricing and promotions to ensure that we offer the best value for our customers.
Q: Is it normal that you can't delete elements by pressing the delete key on the keyboard?
Undo via keyboard shortcut doesn't seem to do anything either. I don't see an actual undo option in the interface either. Just a reset, which also does nothing when I click it.
It's basically unusable if there is no undo, delete, and reset doesnt work. Is this normal or am I experiencing some sort of bug?
A: Hi RoyLichtenstein, Thank you for using our tool. Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that the tool does not allow users to delete assets on the design. This is because the assets are part of the design and layout. While you can turn them off by unchecking the assets from the left pane.
A: We do have this feature available in our Pro+ plan. However, it is not currently available in our lifetime package. Downloading each design with a click is your best available option.
We have a tool that can help make a series of different designs which is a huge time saver for customers here on App Sumo. It's a great idea to solve a real world time challenge. NOW ... I read here in the comments, and then confirmed on my own purchase and was confused.
We buy RelayThat design tool that offers many helpful variants of a given design, but the "software feature" to download the variants is turned off for your App Sumo customers. You have the code, but created more code to remove the feature from AppSumo to download multiple designs. That's disappointing.
The business logic (customer value) for the software is to offer new ideas AND to SAVE TIME getting the images just made. What is the customer experience thought process to then ask your new customer to download 1 image at a time?? Feels very uncomfortable to me. I would really love to advocate and promote this product to clients, but that makes me uncomfortable.
Was that actually intentional or a launch oversight?
I bought two codes and will stop there. I would love to max and buy a full stack. I would also be happy to be a reseller.
Again, It feels very odd to make a download feature and then purposely exclude new or existing App Sumo customers. I don't like downloading 1 at a time for myself as a customer. Like receiving a wrapped gift, and something less was inside.
If an App Sumo customer started a new campaign and needed 25 graphic assets.... yuck. The thing of value is time. This product "giveth".... "then taketh away". That's not the vibe of the community here. Give it some thought and consider the long game. It's not just about the sales here. When companies do right, App Sumo folks plug and promote this stuff.
I purchased this software, only because it's save time, and on the first try I was impressed with the time-saving design option, but then things flipped down, When I tried to download the design, they said batch download is not available in lifetime plans, then what is the purpose of this deal? How can it save time? Background removal is not available, if I use two separate software for this, how can I save time?
I await a response from the Creator & Appsumo Team about the deal's conditions. This deal is a Joke, I purchased 100s of deals from appsumo, and none were like this.
Q: Hi,
1.
What type of social media content can we create with this tool?
2. Do you have any plans to add a feature for creating picture quotes that we can share on social media? Quotes are often a very popular social media post, and I think it would help if we had some nice-looking templates to display our quotes.
3. Do you have a public roadmap for this tool? If yes, can you please share a link with us?
Some of the social media templates we have are for youtube, Facebook, Twitter, IGTV, Linkedin, Goole, Pinterest, Meetup, and Patreo.
We have templates that would allow you to use for picture quotes which they can use on different social media platforms. RelayThat uses its remixing magic and quickly makes dozens of designs in different formats for all of your social media platforms!
Q: I purchased one code years ago and have unlimited workspaces at the moment.
Do I understand correctly that: - if I add 1 code now, to have 2 codes in total, I will only then have 10 workspaces and will lose the unlimited workspaces I have at present?
When you add new code you will keep the unlimited workspace and adding code will add new users and a new team for you.
Q: I got the original RelayThat deal many moons ago.
Was it 2018?
It had potential back then and looked like a solid tool with a bright future. And then, nothing happened!
No new templates or features have been added during that time; the website has barely any content, and the product roadmap has remained empty. Being asked to upgrade to a monthly subscription to use what should now be a basic feature is a bit of a joke.
It's sad to see what used to be such a promising product stagnate, especially when it was and still is marketed as a Canva alternative. Canva is miles ahead in terms of features and design options, but I don't think trying to compete against Canva is where this should be heading.
I'd love to hear back from whoever now owns the company. Some answers have been wishy-washy and aren't very reassuring for potential users.
Do you have major plans for developing RelayThat? Will we see new templates and features added? And will Sumolings from the original lifetime deal get any new features without being asked to upgrade?
A: Thank you for this valuable feedback! We’re sorry to hear that you’re not happy with our product. We aim to improve the quality of our products, and we'll take your input into account. We are working on the roadmap and hoping to release it soon.
Hi Jamoooret, That is indeed a good idea, I will make sure to send this over to our feature request. We would like to thank you once again for your feedback.
Q: This version is different than the one I got here a couple of years ago.
Q: Hi,
What will you guys do you make RelayThat relevant?
It hasn't really changed in a couple of years, there's no API access, it's not easy to edit templates, the facebook community is dead and you guys don't allow posting...
Hopefully the new campaign will actually mean more development, what's the roadmap?
Q: Hi I'd like to ask about something you said below:
"Workspaces allow you to work on more than one design project at a time.
Ie. If you have one user and 5 workspaces, you're able to work on 5 separate designs at one time."
1. Do you guys have folders to organize designs under (i.e. setting up workspaces to work on client accounts)?
2. Using this response, would it be correct to say, that after finishing your design you'd have to download it or else you wouldn't be able to work on anything else, if you have 5 workspaces?
3. Like Canva, do I get unlimited storage or am I restricted by the number of open designs? (i.e. I have to create over a design to get a workspace back even if I'm done working on the design and just want to begin another design.)
Workspaces are used to manage a project or brand a user is working on. They can add images and fonts as well as change the color scheme to match the brand they are working on. Some users choose to have one workspace going for each brand they manage so they can keep all of the photos, colors, and fonts ready to go at all times. Think of this approach as a painter who consistently paints 5 styles of painting, each with its own distinct color palettes and brushes.
However, some users may choose to treat workspaces as one-time projects. They set up their tools, choose their paints, and decide the palette based on the vision they have for an individual project, and they start from scratch each time they start a new one.
This is where saved designs come in - think of clicking ‘Save as Design’ as taking your painting off an easel, and setting it down on the floor. This gives you room to start a new painting or work on an old project.
You can always work on a saved design again by selecting 'Convert To Workspace' from your saved designs.
Users can create folders to manage those save designs but it is not built to store workspaces.
As for your second and third inquiries, users can only work on the allotted workspaces at a time before they can start a new one. If the user only has 5 workspaces they will need to delete one before they can start a new one. However, they can always save it as a design so if they want to return to it again they can convert the saved design as a workspace.
If you have used up all your workspaces you can delete an unused workspace if you wish to start a new one. You can do that by selecting it from the dropdown menu to the right of the "home" button, then clicking the 3-dot menu and choosing 'delete workspace'
The folders are used to manage and store the saved designs.
A: Hi Hassan69, We do have this feature available in our Pro+ plan. However, it is not currently available in our lifetime package. Downloading each design with a click is your best available option.
