A huge time-saver for Facebook comment automation

Retriever AI has become a genuinely valuable part of my workflow. I receive new comments regularly on my Facebook posts, and replying to everyone manually can quickly become overwhelming. Retriever AI helps me automate thoughtful, positive responses, so my audience stays engaged without me having to monitor every comment all day.

What I love most is the time it saves while helping me remain responsive and consistent. It takes a repetitive task off my plate and lets me focus on creating content and growing my community. For anyone managing an active social presence and struggling to keep up with comments, this is a practical and powerful solution.

An excellent tool and an easy 5 tacos from me!

Mind Blown!

When it comes to rtrvr AI and Rover, I’m absolutely blown away!

Build Quality & Attention to Detail
The build quality is top-notch, especially for an LTD. The team really nailed the details, and it shows.

My Experience with Scrapers
I haven’t used many scrapers on purpose. Usually they’re hit-or-miss and come with tons of barriers that make getting useful data a pain. But rtrvr's extension changed the game for me. It made pulling content and context from the web super easy, then dumping it straight into a Google Sheet. It’s fast, accurate, and effective. Finally, a scraper I can actually use without wasting hours trying to get it to work. They really mean it when they say “vibe scraping.” It works!

Rover Surprised Me
I didn’t plan on using Rover, but I gave it a shot because why now. And WOW! It’s powerful. Integrating it into my site with Greta (Claude 4.6) took about 5 minutes. The team made it insanely easy by providing the markdown needed for your IDE with just one click.

Within 10 minutes, I was using Rover on my site like a user, having it perform actions like logging events with variables. This is a huge win for my clients. An intelligent bot that actually takes action on the site for users.

Enterprise-Ready Tools
Both tools feel enterprise-ready. Once you jump into the workspace, you'll see what I mean. There are tons of thoughtful options, not just basic stuff like changing colors or bot tone (though they’ve got that too).

The Journeys and Playbooks features really stood out. Having 12 Playbook slots included in an LTD deal? That’s exceptional value! These features give me a lot of confidence in this team’s ability to deliver high-quality services that actually work.

Automation with rtrvr Cloud
I tried the rtrvr cloud on the automation front by connecting it to MyMarky (another past AppSumo deal). I just told it what to do, and boom! It scheduled a month’s worth of posts across all socials by performing reviews and scheduling directly within MyMarky.

Alternatively, you can use rtrvr itself for social posts, schedule code runs in the future, and even stack scheduled runs. This thing is a powerhouse!

Extra Perks
- You can BYOK.
- It can handle multiple steps easily.
- It’s basically an AI agent right in your browser (and cloud if you want) that lets you vibe code scraping. And that’s just one of its many skills.

The Team
The founders are super engaged and transparent, which I really appreciate.

Overall, these tools blew me away with how easy and powerful they are. My decision now is do I jump up tiers from tier 3 because I am 100% going to integrate directly into various services. If you’re looking for scrapers or site bots that actually work without hassle, Retriever AI and Rover are worth checking out. I also believe their unique approach and build quality are going to make them the way people want to move towards in the future.

Finally, an AI browser tool that actually gets real work done

I’ve tested a bunch of AI automation tools over the past year, and most of them felt impressive for five minutes, then fell apart the second a website got even slightly dynamic. Retriever AI has been one of the few that felt genuinely useful in day-to-day work.

If someone wants to understand the product better before buying, I’d also suggest watching this review video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PzBlgBJ-2M

What stood out to me is that it works with the actual webpage structure instead of relying only on screenshots or brittle hacks. That makes a big difference. I’ve used it for things like pulling lead data, collecting business info, and scraping product details from websites that usually break other tools. For a non-technical user, that’s huge.

I also really like the BYOK option. Being able to connect my own model key instead of burning platform credits for every task makes this much more practical if you plan to use it regularly. That alone makes it feel more flexible than a lot of other tools in this category.

That said, it’s not completely plug-and-play for every advanced workflow. Simple tasks are easy, but more complex jobs definitely depend on how well you write the prompt. There’s a bit of a learning curve there. And if you’re not using your own API key, the credit limits may feel tight if you plan to do heavy scraping or repeated automations.

Overall, though, Retriever AI feels like one of those rare tools that is actually solving a real problem. If you spend a lot of time doing repetitive browser work and want something more capable than basic automation tools, this is absolutely worth trying.

What’s good:
👍 Works with real webpage structure — much more reliable on dynamic sites than screenshot-based tools
👍 No-code friendly — you can describe tasks in plain English instead of building workflows manually
👍 BYOK support — using your own LLM key can save a lot on usage costs, I connected gemini API
👍 Strong for lead gen and scraping — especially useful for pulling business data, product info, and web research
👍 Can handle multi-step browser tasks — more powerful than simple one-click scrapers
👍 Extension + broader automation potential — useful for quick jobs now, with room to scale
👍 Founders seem engaged — product feels actively supported and improved

What could be better:
👎 Prompt quality matters — advanced tasks may need careful wording to work well
👎 Credit system may feel limiting if you’re a heavier user and not relying on BYOK
👎 Some complex use cases may take trial and error before you get the result you want

Hi Basant,

Thank you for this, genuinely one of the most thorough and fair reviews we've received, and we're thrilled the reliability on dynamic sites stood out. Working with the real page structure instead of screenshots is the core bet we made, so it's great to hear it paying off in your day-to-day work.

Your three "could be better" points are exactly what we're working on, and a couple of...

So Far, so Good.

I have many browser automation tools (TaskMagic, BrowserAct, Notte). Rtrv.ai is the best of all of them, in my opinion. They're going steps further with browser automation that make the ecosystem much more useful. There's a lot to take in but so far, it's all good news. Customer service has been responsive here within 30 minutes. Hopefully, they continue this after the campaign.

Frustrating

I purchased the Tier 2 plan but only received Tier 1 access. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, support has been virtually nonexistent, with responses hidden behind multiple hoops instead of being readily available and helpful.

The software itself may be powerful, but it's also extremely complex. This is not a "press a button and it just works" type of product. To use it effectively, you need to understand the terminology and nomenclature, which appears to have been written by software engineers for other software engineers—not for everyday users.

There are very few clear, step-by-step instructions explaining how to get started, what each feature does, or how to accomplish common tasks. Comprehensive tutorial videos are missing, leaving new users to figure things out through trial and error.

If you need help, you're expected to join Discord. But what if you don't have a Discord account or simply don't want to use another platform? There should be built-in support, documentation, or at least a live chat where customers can communicate directly with someone. Instead, it feels like the only way to get anyone's attention is by leaving a negative review.

To make matters worse, promotional or upgrade codes may not even be honored correctly. In my case, I purchased Tier 2 but only received Tier 1 access, and I haven't been able to get the issue resolved.

The platform has potential, but it doesn't seem designed with the average user in mind. Until the onboarding, documentation, and customer support improve significantly, it's difficult to recommend—especially for anyone who isn't already highly technical.

Hi lorand4,
First, a sincere apology: you did email us — we found your message in our spam folder. It explains why support felt nonexistent from your side. We've fixed our inbox filtering so this can't happen again.
Second, a correction to our earlier reply here, which was based on the wrong account record. After reading your email and re-checking your license history, here's what actually...
