Depending on the application, it can be straightforward or may require some creative solutions, such as small workarounds, shortcuts, or keyboard automation. For instance if it is a web app, it is modern, relatively easier, if it is a desktop app possible, if it is legacy desktop app, harder but possible.

The "learning how you enter data" part is usually handled a bit differently in practice. Instead of pure learning, you define how the data should be mapped and validated, and the robot flow follows that logic consistently. RPA is best for rule-based processes, that steps are well-defined. This makes it much more reliable.

If your files are somewhat consistent, the robot can extract the relevant values, clean them up, and fill the forms for you.

So yes, it is definitely doable and a solid use case. The best approach is to start with a small sample and see how well it fits your workflow.
