Q: Use Case Question Download/Upload Videos

Hi! I'm on the fence about buying your tool. I'd like to understand if my use case could work. Can Robomotion: 1) Log in to my Riverside.com account, 2) Open a specific video file, 3) Do a few "standard" editing clicks for that video file, 4) Export the video, 5) Navigate to the export tab, 6) Download the file from there, 7) Upload it to another tool, 8) Fetch the URL of that video on the other tool?

A: Hi,

Yes, it seems achievable.

Robomotion can automate full web flows: logging into Riverside, opening a video, performing standard editing steps (this may require some clarification), exporting, downloading, uploading to another platform, and retrieving the final URL.

The main consideration is how the editor works. If it is a typical web interface with buttons and menus, it is relatively easy to automate. If parts of the editor, such as the timeline, behave more like a visual canvas rather than standard HTML elements, some actions may require position-based clicks. This is not straightforward, but still achievable.

I checked Riverside, and it looks feasible. Timeline interactions will require some smart handling and a reliable way to click accurately. Nothing is blocking, but as mentioned, it is not as simple as clicking a button or filling an input field.

File download, upload, and retrieving the final URL are standard and easy to implement with RPA.

The only thing to clarify is what -standard editing- means. If these steps follow clear and repeatable rules, for example trimming the first 5 to 10 seconds, they can be automated.

I also think this is a good use case to explore within the 60 day refund period. You can join our Discord at https://community.robomotion.io
