They sold LTD deals and then charged 299 directly. It has not been even 2 years and today they say they will no longer honour LTD as they sold the company. If they had had to sell the company so fast, why did they come for LTD? There should be some legal repercussions for this.
I tried using RTW for the first time. I like all the features they have put into the app but there is just some things that are quite confusing and kinda frustrating.
1. When creating a social event, there is no problem when sharing it and opening via desktop but if it's a mobile phone then that's one of the biggest problem. It does not work on the mobile phone. I wish they made it simple for the user. like how zoom does it. share a link, then there is a pop-up forcing them to install the app. or if the app is installed, to automatically opens it and go straight to the event. With RTW for mobile, its just impossible to make it work. Even if you have downloaded the app there is just no way to join the particular room since there is no way to join a room on the app.
2. After finding out that it would work on mobile phone. I tried deleting the social event, but their app won't allow me to delete it since there is already a guest and ask you to contact their support to delete it for you. I think this is counterintuitive. You should give the organizer the power to delete the event, maybe just put a pop-up reminding them that all guests will be automatically logged off the event.
3. Although this one I really have not tested yet. When creating an event for several days lets say monday to friday at 7pm to 9pm. Looking at the UI it seems that there is no way to put in speakers per day. It looks like you will have to put all the speakers for the whole event.
I will try to use RTW maybe Im just missing something.
Here are some of the things I wish was also avaible in RTW - Wish there was a way to download attendance of the attendees in a daily basis like in zoom. - An API or Webhooks to allow single sign-on from another app. - Wish there was a way to assign speakers per day for an event running in multiple days. - Wish there is also a way to put topics that will be discussed for the event ( per day )
I like all the features here in RTW but still need a bit of fixes to make it really usable / comparable to zoom in terms of usability.
Bought it as zoom killer, but the feature that is similar to zoom meetings is called cocktail party. However, cocktail parties can not be recorded. Hence can not replace zoom for me as recording is very important for my use case. Also the features that support recording, requires people to sign up for every session. That also does not work for my students. Their branding is extremely on the face for events, communications everything, almost like how a free tool does branding. Apart from these, the software looks and feels enterprise grade.

Lifetime = two years. The company that bought Run the World is a complete mess.
