Q: Fees
I'm going to get at least tier 3 so I'm looking at 1% & 3% respectively.
First off, why is digital products higher fee?
Second, do digital products have 1% fee on top of the 3%?
Third, who pays the fee? I assume the marketplace owner would pay it?
Fourth, if the marketplace owner pays it, what fees do marketplace owners charge sellers (typically)?
Fifth, does the selldone system automatically handle the fees?

Downloadable products have a higher fee because the files are securely stored and served through Selldone’s infrastructure.
Also, the Selldone fee is independent of whether you run a normal store or a marketplace. So no, digital products do not get charged 1% on top of 3%.
The marketplace owner pays the Selldone fee. Since the marketplace is fully white-labeled, vendors never see the Selldone name — they log in directly through your own domain.
Based on my experience, marketplace owners for digital products usually charge vendors anywhere between 10% to 40% commission depending on the type and value of the files being sold.
And yes, Selldone automatically handles the commission calculations for marketplace orders. If you use Stripe Connect, it also supports auto-payout features. The customer payment goes directly to your account first, then you can distribute the vendors’ shares with one click.
Please let me know if you have more questions, and welcome to the Selldone family.
Regards,
Alireza
