Q: Plans to integrate Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP)?

Hi Alireza,

Love the vision of a plugin-free ecommerce OS powered by native features! Are there any plans on your roadmap to integrate Google's Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP)?

Google recently announced this open-source standard (co-developed with Shopify) as the foundation for their new Universal Cart, allowing customers to check out seamlessly directly from Google Search, YouTube, and Gemini.

Since Selldone builds tools natively, having UCP support built-in would be a huge advantage for merchants wanting to capture sales across the Google ecosystem.

Thanks!

A: Hi Navid,

Thanks for bringing this up. UCP is already on our radar. We published an article about Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol several months ago, and also shared on Facebook that we were working in this direction.

You can read the article here: https://selldone.com/blog/the-hidden-protocol-behind-agentic-ai-online-shopping-1613

We have significant plans for UCP and are already working on it. We believe native support for emerging commerce protocols will be important for merchants selling through AI and other new discovery channels. We’ll share more as our work progresses.

Best,
Alireza
