I think appsumo should step in and provide a credit for business that went under after few months. This was my biggest purchase and it feels wrong to me. Hey appsumo, he is a great suggestion to put your business backing the customer.
Q: why is everyone calling it a scam now? I wish AS had taken sessions and turned into an AS product!
Sessions was seriously looking to be a gamechanger. It had everything, looked and worked well and was just in the beginning of becoming an actually good software. I'm wondering why people claim it was a scam? Is there any information that we were scammed and that this is not just an ugly failure? I really want to know, as my own research did not turn up anything relevant here. So, please do answer if you have some kind of source or information that I apparently can't find!
While AppSumo’s steps to improve partner quality and transparency are positive, the real problem is their commission structure. They take 30-60% of each sale, making it nearly impossible for providers to sustain their services. This setup favors AppSumo, leaving providers with too little to operate effectively. If AppSumo truly wants to support partners, it should lower its commission to 10%,

Like most of you on this thread, I had high hopes for Sessions. I purchased a Tier 5 and a Tier 2 license (2 different businesses). I have been watching them try to keep their head above water and applaud their transparency about their difficulties. I love(d) the product and could see great things with it.
All that being said, it didn't look like it was going to work out and I worried about losing my investment. I am writing to THANK the folks at Appsumo for sticking by us and offering refunds. This is the kind of attitude that keeps me coming back. Again, thanks!
Ya'll need to chill. I got a refund after a while. AS is doing there best to deal with the flaming pile of dung that sessions left behind. It'll take a while and AS will most likely deal with this in our favor. They aren't insane.
I got refund today. It took ~6days. Understandable as it was a big sale for appsumo/sessions. Approx 10k+ folks purchased..(https://blog.sessions.us/learn-from-sessions-appsumo-success-how-a-small-team-hit-1m-in-sales). Very few would have clue about where this tool landed now..

I’m writing to inform you that the Sessions.us server is currently down. I’m truly sorry to hear about this, as I found Sessions to be an amazing platform. It was far more advanced compared to other platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, ClickMeeting, and many others. I really hope there’s a chance for recovery or a solution, as it would be a real loss to see such an innovative tool go offline.

Do I keep my license (T5) and does Sessions have to continue the TOS after getting new funding? What do I risk by not requesting a refund?

Yes, it is such a waste to see a tool this good go down. Though I have like 15 meetings which I have zero access to right now.
