Q: (A) 25 or 100 courses hosted on Slice-
Does this mean I can DELETE my first created course (web page/site) ...
and redo it with a different course or content after a week and it still counts as only 1/25 still or is it doubled now 2/25?
(B) 1 custom design template- This is for our own easy branding if we want, correct?
(C) AND YET we have UNLIMITED jumpstart and AI content creations over time as the AI credits roll over each month so we can endlessly create courses each month using the AI for automatically making both design and content, right? This is too good to be true though ( ^.^ )/
1 advanced document AI conversion- Does this mean we Sumolings are limited to only one of something? What is that? What does this limitation apply too?
A: A) Yes, you can delete unneeded courses. You can edit and change the modules as needed - there's just a limit of active ones at any given time. Most users create their modules and then export them to a zipped HTML5 package that is SCORM-compliant for uploading to their learning management system. You can also upload the unzipped directory to your website and make it available as HTML pages, but it won't have the scoring and tracking features that LMS applications provide.
B) Yes, the custom design template is for adding your own logo, colors, and fonts.
C) Yes, the custom conversion template is used when you have a large number of documents with the same structure and/or styles. Our team can create a custom template to map the document content to the modules and styles for faster, more consistent conversion. There is only one allowed because it requires professional services. The basic conversion feature does not require a template, but you'll likely have a bit of cleanup to do after it runs. The dev team is making some tweaks to this feature but we expect it to be live again very soon.
Why don’t you export to video? Suppose we elect to use it on another platform, you are not allowing your clients to have the flexibility to make this app work for their individual requirements and needs. Will it be added on a future update?
Q: Hi,
I would like to buy tier2.
I want the content to be accessed only by paid members. Since slice doesn't have membership access, i want to export and embeed the courses created in slice, into my website. So i want to see how the slice content will look after embeeding in a website other than slice. Could you share some examples of slice courses that are embeeded in external websites (outside slice platform)? Thanks.
Q: Hi
- Convert document is still not availble - that is a important reason for me to use this app - to create ...
course from my own material - AI created course does not add questions automatically - we have to do manual planning of questions and answerrs then add them to the course - this defeats the purpose of full automation. - When will convert document to course be available - and will it create questions/answers automatically Thanks
A: Use the in-line AI in the content menu to automatically generate questions. When you select a section of content then choose the questions option in the AI drop down, Slice automatically generates text with three easy questions, three medium questions, and three hard questions. To automatically convert the questions you like to SCORM format questions, select the convert to question option near the very bottom of the inline AI menu. It's a little confusing in words - I'll try to capture a video clip of the process in today's demo.
Hi 1) You did not respond to my question about document conversion 2) regarding quiz I was referring to scrolling page ai method, not inline can that do quiz automatically.
It does not inspire confidence when a founder answers selectively
Raj_Tex, I'm waiting for the latest update on the convert feature. I'm hoping the guys will finish their updates and push to the live server tomorrow or later in the week. It worked great on the staging server when I demoed it a couple of weeks ago - can't wait to show everyone.
Also, can you provide clarification on what the HTML block is used for? Can I use it to embed an iframe where I can allow the user to view external HTML content in the block like forms, documents, or other types of external resources?
Here are the instructions for customizing your template with your own colors and logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFgwFbA5mQw
Yes, the HTML block is for embedding HTML. You can definitely try it with your iFrame.

Q: Hi, I am new here and just got the Tier 2, wondering where I can find the integration, seems like the ...
functions a pretty limited, and there is not much I could do with it. One more questions, when is the "Convert" avalible, seems like the intro video was recorded a year ago.
A: Credits are recurring. There was an issue we could not immediately resolve at launch but it is being fixed. Exporting does not require use of the AI engines so it does not consume credits.
WP Courseware is an LMS (learning management system). I looked in the member support site and I do not see anything about s c o r m compliance. You would use this plug-in instead of using a typical LMS, hope this helps
Q: Since you can only export SCROM html 5 zip files, do you have any plans to export in a form for ...
WordPress-based LMS like the popular LearnDash, which is what I use?
A: The Wordpress plugin is in testing - should know more soon. It basically makes it easy to upload the courses as HTML 5 formats. You can DIY without the plugin if you can access your website server via FTP to place the directory. Here are some examples: https://sliceknowledge.com/examples/
We do have a WordPress plugin coming very soon and will be looking at integrations with other learning management platforms beyond the SCORM universe. It looks like there is currently a third-party plugin that allows the import of SCORM-compliant packages into LearnDash.
Do you guys have a time frame for the WordPress plugin? That's an instant buy for me! : ) BTW -- this platform looks awesome! If this works well, it's a game changer!!!
Q: hey team, i have ghl and use this for my memberships etc.
can i create the course in this platform then download the video and materials and re-apply it into my ghl?
thanks for your reply. I might try asking another question which would help me. any materials made on the platform like videos, quizzes etc. can the admin download these materials to re upload into another platform.
Q: 1) Besides HTML5/SCORM, you have even given options for sharing via URL.
Can this URL be used to embed our courses on websites ? And will it have 'made in slice' branding in lower right of the course for our LTD account made courses as well ?
2) The example courses all have slice logo/branding (not talking about 'made in slice' branding like URLs mentioned above but in the middle of courses). Will they show up on my HTML5 exported courses as well ? Or I can change them to reflect my own branding/logo ? Basically, I don't want any other branding on my courses. Do clarify.
3) If I buy tier 2 , I have a limit of 100 courses. If suppose , I reach the limit of 100 and then delete some courses (say, 5) , then will this free my course limit to make 5 new courses ? Also, will archiving courses free up my course limits used so far?
4) This seems to be an alternative to Articulate Rise. Can we expect features like 'flash cards' , etc that Articulate has on slice as well in future updates ?
A: @FastandCurious Adding the credits to each account is a manual process. If you don't receive yours by the end of the week, please let us know at https://sliceknowledge.com/contact-us/support/
2) Both of the AppSumo plans allow you to customize the branding, add your logos, and remove the made in Slice watermark. 3) It's 100 active courses - you can archive or delete when needed. We also have subscription plans that give you broader options when you're ready. From a practical standpoint, by the time you get to 100 courses, you will likely want the functionality of a full learning management system. You can export from Slice to any SCORM compliant LMS.
4) Yes, Articulate Rise is a a direct competitor to Slice. We already have the flash card functionality. It's called cards in Slice, You'll find it in the Content Layouts section of the content templates.
A: The lifetime deals come with 720 and 2000 credits respectively. These are single use. AppSumo users are also getting a bonus of 10,000 additional credits added to their accounts. For the average user, this should be enough for 1-2 years. Heavy users can add credits whenever they need them.
Sorry for the delay in responding to some of the credits questions. We were working on lowering the prices for the add-on credits last night and wanted to respond when they were available. The new prices are $10/1K, $25/5K, and $40/10K.
Fair enough. Just one follow up on the pricing : if suppose I buy 10K credits , do they expire after a certain time or I can use them till I exhaust them ?
We are sorting out the credits by manually issuing an additional 10,000 credits (the sum equals the entire first year's credits). This gives you immediate access while we resolve the underlying issue.
It will take a few day to get the extra credits. If you don't receive them within the next 3 days, please submit a support ticket at https://sliceknowledge.com/contact-us/support/
