You should get Snoooz if you value your time, but this is not a "push of a button" solution

Let me start with the bottom line,
If you value your time and have a busy mailbox, you should definitely get Snoooz.
I've been waiting for a Motion alternative in this space and I'm was happy to see Snoooz coming to AppSumo.

To set clear expectations - There is a learning cure and even more importantly a training curve to Snoooz before you start seeing results, and this is the only reason why I'm giving it 4/5 stars because I *feel* that the process can be better and smoother.
At the time of writing this review you can definitely expect to have some *extra* overhead in training the app, writing style, deleting extra draft, un-labeling emails and such.
In other words, think about it like training a VA to respond in your name and tone of voice, it doesn't happen in a day.
The potential, capabilities and a new feature to read your last 20 sent emails to identify your writing style are definitely a step in the right direction but it will take time, patience and some effort to get it done right.

The "rules" system, especially how they are prioritized, is a bit confusing. I found myself doing a lot of trial and error.

I want to give a huge compliment and a thumbs up to the support team and especially Chitresh. They have been SUPER responsive, knowledgeable, supportive and VERY helpful overall.

Bottom line,
If you are willing to put some muscle into the process, Snoooz has the potential to become your best inbox companion.

Hi Yasaf,

This is a very fair take, and I appreciate how clearly you laid it out. You’re right — Snoooz isn’t a one-click magic button (at least not yet), and setting it up well takes some upfront effort, especially around setting your rules and training. The VA comparison is spot on.

The feedback about rule priority and the training overhead is noted, and we are actively making improvements as I write. In fact we are also planning to update our onboarding videos in the coming week, as the product has been evolving at a rapid pace, and they may need a refresher.

I am also glad to hear the support experience was solid — I’ll pass this along to Chitresh. If you ever want help refining the setup or reducing the trial and error, we’re here.

Regards,
Victoria
