I bought Socrates when it was first released on Appsumo. The user interface is clean and intuitive, and it didn't take long for me to learn how to use it. Now as the app gets new updates, I am allowed to allocate my chats to different folders, making it easy to organise.

The answers that Socrates provides are superb and exceed all my expectations. Whether I use the Deep Dive function or not, Socrates gives outputs that are way better than any chat-with-pdf apps I have ever used. Because of that, Socrates has become my favourite and most-used tool for studying. Very happy that I found this app.

It took a while for me to fully realize the potential of this nice tool. I had a book as a PDF that I wanted to summarize. At first, I used the usual suspects like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc. While the results were fine, something was missing. And they were struggling with the large volume because of their context window. Then I remembered Sokrates and I was more than happy. I needed to experiment a bit with the Deep Dive prompting, but then it delivered the best results. I will definitely use this tool more often!

I love that this tool offers an offline option. It's not as powerful - as you'd expect - as the internet connected version, but still very useful. I had an issue installing the desktop version and the team were on it immediately.

Bought Tier 3 and tested with 4 pdf :
- 2 handbook of 25 pages + 29 pages about OKR
- One OKR Template (sheet)
- One Powerpoint about a business case

I asked Socrates to help me to generate OKR that :
- are shaped and tailored based on the handbook rules
- objective must be coherent, logic and they must be related to the business case
Here the 2 main goals : Help us to launch new products typology, focus on conception and definition.

Well i can say myself it's not the clearest prompt or request but it's clear enough and Socrate should stop me if the request is not enough clear.

But the problem is bigger than what you think :

Socrate replied by copying my own request many times and then an error message pop up appeared and say "Connection fail"

Seriously ? I'm more and more shocked about those new "founders" and "SaaS" in Appsumo , LTD seems to be affiliated more and more to Low Cost Sphere

I finally found software to analyze documents that really works. I tried Afforai on 2 different occasions, hoping that over time it would have improved, but it didn't. I also tried Humata, which was also far from meeting my expectations because it couldn't answer almost any of my questions.

Socrates, on the other hand, is truly capable of analyzing documents. It easily answers questions like: How many texts are in this book? How many times does X word appear? How many pages does this book have?

Questions that neither Afforai nor Humata could answer.

That said, Socrates can only do this well thanks to its wonderful Deep Dive feature.

I trust the development of this software and it will be the first one I won't refund. The interface is easy to understand, although I would like the extra features it has to be a little easier to understand initially.
