My sincere recommendation!

I’ve been using Spellar for the past six months, and now I can’t imagine any meeting without it. It gives me confidence that everything discussed during the meeting will always be saved and easy to revisit later.

I usually take a lot of notes during meetings, and Spellar’s notes functionality helps me keep all the context in one place without missing important details. The action points generated after the recording ends help me create tasks in Linear within seconds and save me a huge amount of time.

The AI chat feature is also incredibly useful for quickly finding specific information from recordings without having to rewatch or reread everything manually.

What I especially appreciate is that the app is constantly improving while still remaining very intuitive and easy to use.

Perfect for PMs and remote teams

I'm a PM on a fully remote team and my week is basically meetings — customer interviews, planning, 1:1s, partner calls. Tried Otter and Fathom before, both were fine but I always ended up rewriting the notes anyway.

A few things I really like about Spellar:

- No bot joining the call. It just records on my Mac. Sales and customer calls feel completely normal, no awkward "Otter has joined the meeting" moment.
- Transcripts handle mixed-language calls well. We jump between English and Ukrainian a lot and it doesn't fall apart.
- Summaries are actually usable — decisions, action items, follow-up draft. I paste them straight into Slack for teammates in other timezones.
- Templates per meeting type matter more than I thought. My discovery interviews come out structured differently from my 1:1s, which saves me from manually reshaping every note.

For a PM running discovery + a remote team where async catchup is the norm, this fits really well. And for the LTD price it's a no-brainer.

5 tacos from me :)
