Q: Your website says that Suite Dash replaces both Acuity Scheduling and Dropbox.
These are two tools we power use daily to run our photography and video business.
My question is... how comprehensively does Suite Dash replace these two tools?
Specifically:
1. Can we sell time and have appointments integrated with Google Calendar via 2 way sync to avoid double booking?
2. Can we collect payment at the time of booking?
3. Can we create different questionnaires and assign them to an appointment type to collect data such as address for each appointment and have that info show up in the Google Calendar appointment?
4. Can we create coupons, or assign clients to specific price lists so that our legacy clients can keep their pricing tier?
5. Can each staff member have different availability based on their personal Google Calendar sync?
6. Is there a way to restrict booking based on the address entered for the appointment? (i.e. if it is too far away, the client can't book it)
7. Can we restrict file access until payment has been made WITHOUT having to do it manually?
7.5. Can we watermark files until payment is made?
8. Stripe payments?
9. Can we send direct download links to folders so clients do not have to be logged in to download a new set of files?
10. Are files 'preview-able' (i.e. lightbox view for images rather than list view, or thumbnails) so the client can see proofs without having to download and open the files in a given folder?
I look forward to hearing if this can really replace Acuity and Dropbox in the ways that we are currently using them. If so, I'll be stacking this till my cards max out. LOL
Hi Shawn,
To be clear, the website says we replace the 'core functionality' of all these apps.
For sure, we can't go toe to toe on features with a 'single-lane' software that's been building for years and years... NOT YET :)
But, yes we understand that would be amazing, and in time that will be the case!
The Appointment Booking toolkit is very new, and still in it's first iteration, so almost all your questions are going to be a no, sorry. Those are pretty advanced features that will take us some time to work up to.
What I have done is taken your list and added to our list for future iterations in both Appointments and Files. The rest I'll comment on things that we can help you with currently. (or soon)
8. Yes, we support Stripe, but no allowance for 'buying' downloads or 'buying' time yet.
9. This is in the works now, so within a matter of weeks, yes
10. Yes, images, PDFS and even videos can be previewed without download.
One day, our goal is to say yes to all those things, and many many more!
So, consider taking that ride with us?
Hi Mike!
Thank you for your thoughtful reply.
I totally understand that you can't be expected to go toe-to-toe with single use tools. Even when you get to where they are now, they will have evolved since it's their niche. I get that 100%.
Your reply shows me that you are invested in your platform and making it grow into something that can be game changing for small businesses.
Honestly, #9 is probably the most important feature to me anyway because it directly affects my clients' experience. The rest of this stuff can be managed manually on the backend by our team until functionality is there.
I look forward to checking out your platform in detail. :)
Hi Shawn,
Great man... your reply made me smile.
Just imagine what we can build ... imagine 2 years from now.
It can be AMAZING, and feedback from our customers is our most valuable asset.
Thanks!
