The original AppSumo deal promised lifetime access plus future Apprentice Plan updates, and highlighted ongoing model additions as part of the product’s evolution.

Thanks for the detailed explanation — that makes sense. I understand the sustainability challenges and why some models and features now require separate licensing or higher compute costs.

I was using flux with the lifetime deal but now 1.0 was removed and I ahve to pay again to keep doing what I was doing?

A: Not removed, still available look for it in the model selection. We just added a new Supermachine NextGen model which is pretty crazily good also to our base offering so check that out also.
Q: Did you just put newer models behind a 'premium' paywall?
Newer models (not necessarily more expensive than older ones were when they were released) are now all locked behind a "Premium" paywall.
Will appsumolings get monthly 'gems' credits ?

A: There is a difference between the licensed models and the other models that are in Supermachine. Anything that we need to pay per generation for will come under the gem offering and also video creation however anything that is open-source and makes its way into our normal offering is using the credit system.

Running an LTD takes a lot! Anyone who thinks a few hundred dollars can cover years of server expenses isn't running the number. Totally get the future add-ons and how they cost $$. Any chance we can upgrade to a new Ultimate Tier with some monthly Gems? What the estimated cost to make that worthwhile?

A: The licensed models using gems are pay per use so whilst I'd love to be able to offer a one time price, I know Appsumo customers do not like heavy heart emails and a one time price for something that costs us a lot per generation is a one way trip to heartbreak and we don't want the good times to end.
We are also adding to our existing selection of models using credits for which we don't need...
