Hello,
like the speakers before me, I am more than disappointed: Not only is Supermachine extremely slow (unacceptably so) and delivers comparatively poor results, but the new model also excludes us from improvements.
Before you justify this, I would like to refer to your comparison with countless image generators; in your six‑part table you always come out looking good. Especially on pricing, you create the impression that with SM you get for a one‑time payment what, for example, costs 120 US dollars per year at Recraft.
At Recraft you can choose from many models, including Flux 1.1 Pro or Imagen 4. These cost 2 credits; at 10 US dollars per month for 1,000 credits, that amounts to 500 generations for 10 US dollars.
At Supermachine you need Gems—80 Gems for Flux or 120 Gems for Imagen 4. Let’s look at what 55,000 Gems cost: you charge 50 US dollars; that yields 687 image generations for Flux and 458 for Imagen 4. Compared with the monthly 10 US dollars at Recraft, that would be only 137 or 91 images versus 500 generations at the same cost.
You compare yourself, I believe, with 29 other image generators, from A like Adobe Firefly to V like Vidu AI. Anyone who, like me, actually uses some of them will see this quite differently and, with identical prompts, gets far better quality.
What really feels like being bled dry is having invested in a Plan 4—four times 79 US dollars, i.e., 316 US dollars—for 4,000 credits, only to now see that there is direct lifetime access (without credit limits) for 129 US dollars.
My advice to anyone interested: instead of paying for a lifetime deal, choose an affordable subscription with high‑quality generators, because “Premium” at Supermachine is just another paid tier; everyone can do the math on what’s truly cost‑effective.
In any case, I am more than disappointed—the worst deal of my life.

my first post before the addition
Dear Supermachine Team,
I would like to share some thoughts about my experience with the platform. Currently, I am trying to generate images with Supermachine, and unfortunately, I have to say that the process often takes a very long time. I find myself staring at the screen, and after 10 minutes, the page is still not fully loaded, and I have also been waiting for the image for the same amount of time. Admittedly, there are times, like in the middle of the night, when it is faster, but overall, I find the speed to be inadequate.
In the new interface, I have the option to increase the steps up to 80, but I do not see a sampler, which only costs credits unnecessarily without providing any real benefit.
Now we are at the 15-minute mark, and I can only see half an image in the preview from SD 3.5 Large. I sincerely hope that the situation improves in the future. What good are 4000 credits to me when I have to frustratedly switch to Replicate and pay their high prices?
I just saw that the three images were finally generated after 18 minutes. That’s it for me today; I will log out now.
I truly expected more from the platform.

SCAM Supermachine SaaS Scam Rexxar
From the begining I asked to add a video module (in request road map) . At the begining Rexxar tell that it's not forecast. Today I see that this module appear , and guess what , you cannot use it as LTD user . I was expecting using video with my credits and it's not possible , they want to make you pay for using it , what a joke . In fact everythings that can be really interesting, they will not do it for you as LTD user .
But more unbelievable, they do the same for model I was also asked for : Flux kontex , pro etc. What a SCAM !
You have to buy GEMS to use it. Rexxar, really... deal and trust is broken . You scam App sumo user , ok you did it one time , it will not happen anymore. Supermachine has really low value now. The point of LTD is to be able to user good and recent model like nano banana , flux , Seedance etc . You just scam everybody , honestly Rexxar , if you don't feel shame, you should.
You should rename your saas SuperScam .

New Models stuck behind paywall, lifetime deal went south compared to other image ltd deals that actually respect their customers
The Problem with Supermachine’s LTD Handling
Supermachine has not technically excluded LTD users from Gems, but the way it has been done defeats the entire purpose of an LTD plan. LTD customers cannot use their existing credits on Gems. Instead, they must buy new Gems credits, leaving their LTD credits locked to older, increasingly unreliable models.
For anyone who invested in the LTD this feels like a bait and switch. The whole point of an LTD was ongoing access to models through credits. If credits no longer apply to new models, then what exactly did LTD buyers purchase? Supermachine says LTD users will still get “new models,” but experience shows that those updates are watered-down versions compared to Gems. The past six months of LTD updates have been lackluster, especially when compared with platforms like SeeLabs and PhotoGPT, which gave LTD holders access to top-tier models that make Supermachine’s LTD offering look embarrassing.
Devalued LTD Investment
The LTD library is now dominated by outdated models plagued with morphing problems. The only semi-usable option left is Supermachine Dream, and even that has become unreliable. The once-promoted Flux model on LTD is far behind what is available elsewhere. On LTD it distorts and morphs, while on PhotoGPT and SeeLabs it produces sharp, consistent images.
In effect, LTD holders are stuck with stale tools unless they spend more money. That makes the LTD feel meaningless.
The Better Way Competitors Handle It
Other platforms like PhotoGPT and SeeLabs faced the same challenge of funding new models, but they took the fair path. Instead of walling off their best models behind a new paywall, they simply deducted more credits for advanced generations. LTD users stayed included, and the system remained fair: you pay through usage, not broken commitments.
This is why LTD buyers praise those companies. They respect their early supporters, and in return their LTD community gives them free advertising, positive comparisons, and lasting goodwill.
Supermachine, by contrast, has alienated its LTD base. Side-by-side comparisons are inevitable, and they will show how much better value SeeLabs and PhotoGPT deliver versus what Supermachine has left LTD holders with. That is damaging word of mouth no company should want.
Technical Setbacks Add Frustration
On top of this, features LTD users once relied on no longer work. Instruct Edit, once useful, now throws constant errors like “API requests are filtered. Please try again with a more general prompt.” Prompts that used to work fine are suddenly rejected. It feels less like technical failure and more like LTD users are being deprioritized.
Reputation Risks
Supermachine may see short-term profit from Gems purchases, but the long-term cost is credibility. LTD buyers spent hundreds of dollars based on trust. Now many feel their investment is worthless. Once trust is broken, word spreads fast on Reddit, Discord, YouTube, and review sites. That kind of damage does not fade easily.
Final Thought
The LTD community is not opposed to funding innovation. What they oppose is being sidelined after investing early. Forcing LTD users to buy new credits while their LTD credits lose value is the worst of both worlds. It destroys goodwill while proving your credit system is arbitrary. Competitors have shown a better way. Respect LTD customers and they will champion your brand. Disrespect them and you create lifelong skeptics.
Also as an update, another lifetime deal i bought called artspace not only is the direct competitor to supermachine but they are better, they just added flux kontext, seedream, and nanobanana to their lifetime deal and multiple tools for a one time payment of $299. Their platform is so much better because you can also do 4K image Generations UNLIMITED. Super machine is going to find it hard soon to keep up when other companies handle their LTD customers so much better.
Artspace even has a cool reimage tool where u can change a cartoony looking image and reimagine it as real. And artspace is uncensored and they also have the ability to restore old photos.

wow - another scam around :)
well done. moved most models to new "gem" credit system and all LTD users now need to buy gems if they want to keep using supermachine with more than just cheap stable diffusion...

Sep 28, 2025Hi ewokee, your review is not accurate in terms of moving any models to a new system. The models which have ben added to the gem system are models which are licensed from other providers. They did not exist on Supermachine before they were licensed and part of this gem collection so they have not been moved.
We will continue to keep adding models to our own GPU cluster like the Supermachine...

Systematic Disappointment & Devaluation of the Lifetime Deal – The Worst Deal I Have Ever Bought! (Title changed afterwards)
I am not only disappointed, I am massively angry and feel personally betrayed by Supermachine and the founder. As an early supporter, I purchased the Tier 4 back then on AppSumo in good faith. Before buying, I explicitly asked whether I would benefit from future updates with a high tier, which was clearly answered with “Yes” at the time.
Today, after months of silence and countless requests from the community for new, state-of-the-art image generation models, I log in and am faced with the bitter reality: My 4,000 credits are practically worthless. Supermachine has introduced a new internal currency called "Gems," which now must be purchased exclusively to access the truly new and powerful models.
The long-awaited new models have finally arrived, but for us AppSumo users, they are out of reach. It’s not even a matter of using more credits – no, access is completely blocked. We are forced to spend money again. This is a slap in the face for everyone who supported the project from the very beginning.
This is exactly the kind of sneaky business practice that the AppSumo community always warns about: First lure users in with a “lifetime deal,” and once you have a base, exclude the loyal early customers from all relevant advancements. We were completely screwed over as AppSumo users.
And if the argument comes up that the old models are still available: Let’s be honest, 98% of the available models are hopelessly outdated. The results are at the level of 2022 or maybe early 2023 and utterly unusable for professional applications. Even the integrated Stable Diffusion XL models are long from “state of the art.”
If nothing changes about this situation and our credits remain worthless for the truly new, high-quality models, then this is by far the worst and most disappointing deal I have ever made on AppSumo. It goes against everything that supporting startups should stand for.
My conclusion is clear: I will definitely never buy a tool from this developer again and can only warn everyone else against investing money here. The trust is completely destroyed.
-------------------------- UPDATED response to developer feedback--------------------------
I am correcting my emotional title "Absolute Scam," as "fraud" is legally inaccurate. However, the developer's response reinforces my severe criticism of their approach and product. As a long-time supporter, I have spent months trying in vain to improve the tool through constructive feedback and bug reports. This is not about a legal debate but about the moral responsibility towards the original investors.
1. Core problem: Outdated, unstable base instead of relevant updates
New features mentioned by the developer, such as Faceswap or ControlNet, add no value to the platform as long as the underlying AI models are hopelessly outdated. The developer has been ignoring systematic problems for months:
Massive generation errors: Eternal loading times or complete crashes are daily occurrences.
Poor quality: Even the newest model produces blurry images. My well-founded feedback on this was wrongly dismissed with an incorrect aspect ratio.
Free open-source tools like ComfyUI prove with the same models that it is not the AI but Supermachine’s poor technical implementation that is the problem. Instead of fixing these fundamental flaws, a new paywall was introduced.
2. The "Gem" system: Not a fair model, but a classic bait-and-switch
The claim that buying "gems" is optional is insincere. Since all modern, high-quality models are locked behind it, users are effectively forced to purchase. Reputable providers like Merlin AI show fairness by integrating new features through adjusted credit costs for LTD users, thus respecting the original deal. Supermachine, on the other hand, punishes its most loyal customers and devalues their investment. A fair alternative would have been to increase the credit costs for new models, not a complete exclusion.
3. Lack of transparency and unprofessional business practices
The deal lacked clear rules. The promised "Apprentice Plan" was never defined, and there was no public price overview. This lack of transparency allows the developer to change the rules retroactively and exclude valuable innovations. The approach follows a familiar pattern:
Lock phase: Raise capital with vague lifetime promises.
Stagnation phase: Neglect the core product technically.
Paywall phase: Move relevant innovations behind a paywall and devalue the original deal.
This harsh criticism is not an outburst of anger but the result of months of ignored efforts. I detailed technical problems and made constructive suggestions to the developer in numerous emails—without any consequence. The fundamental flaws remain unresolved. My public review is thus the logical result of a failed dialogue.
Many developers understand that early supporters are partners, not cash cows. Unfortunately, Supermachine is not one of them. I cannot recommend anyone to invest here.

Sep 26, 2025Hi Gabriel,
You are of course entitled to your opinion here but I think this is somewhat disingenuous and undeserving of some of the labels you have used here.
We started Supermachine in 2022 just as an open-source image model became available. We have iterated a lot since then on adding new models and sending out regular updates. There are tools like the Faceswap, ControlNet and more powerful...
