Cloud hours are only included on the tier 5 here on AppSumo, but we have been allowing an upgrade in a reasonable timeframe if you get tier 4 on AppSumo.
The cloud hours are allocated between all automations, not per workspace.
Yes you can self host it if you so choose ;) if you run automations on cloud all automations count toward your hours. You can choose to run on desktop still yet though.
Cloud server specs: no idea lol. I’m non technical and I don’t get into the specs of it on a per account basis. I think someone has set it up on a raspberry pi
The value of cloud? Lol. I guess it’d be how much you value running on cloud? Do you want to keep your computer plugged in and on to run automations or not. It’s more ease of friction and how you value it.

No matter what I do I cannot get TaskMagic to set up an automation from desktop. I'm on Tier 1. Whenever I try to set up an automation I am forced to the webapp and required to purchase cloud hours. The only access I can find to direct help is by paying for access to the skool community. This doesn't sound right so I am concerned that I'm missing something. dear TaskMagic team I want to ask about opening the Google Chrome browser when logging into a Facebook account. Is the browser used to log into social media accounts like Facebook an anti-detection browser, or does TaskMagic access it directly from the customer's computer? If I log into multiple Facebook accounts using the TaskMagic application, will my Facebook accounts be at risk of being locked?
A: Hey tin! The browser we use is chromium. So essentially chrome. That way you can use chrome profiles and cookies. We have a cookies chrome extension as well for this purpose. If you use a browser based agent all the time and ALOT you’ll usually run into issues bc anything will pick you up as a “bot”. But asking chrome profiles and cookies do a good job at saving your login to your profile so it should be good on your next run. Always do things like this manually, log in and then save it.
A: You can in some ways invite them but you’re right they are separate from the main automations (like you said). You can still connect them but it’s an addon we kinda gave to the community here ;) so if you can’t directly share then right now you can’t. Good questions!
Q: Do my cloud hours apply to each workspace under it?
I purchased the highest tier. When I'm in the main dashboard, it says I have 18 cloud hours, but when I go into the individual workspaces, it says to buy more-- is that right?
I was hoping to test TaskMagic before the AppSumo deal was done so I could recommend it to others. You fixed the install issue from yesterday, thank you! Now my computer is crashing and restarting on it's own when attempting to record my 1st automation; then it freezes after restarting itself. I had to hard reset to fix the crash/restart loop (no opportunity to force quit). It displayed a warning of running out of application memory before crashing. Any settings I need to adjust on my end to prevent TaskMagic from overwhelming and crashing my computer (using 2024 Apple M4 chip)? Thanks for your help, I'm still excited and hopeful to get it running properly!

I'm very grateful for you all working hard/fast! I hope mine would handle things well being so new. With troubleshooting I verified I had the latest updates from Apple. It wouldn't be likely that I can screen record since my computer gets bogged down to the point of crashing when running TaskMagic. I ran out of time for testing & need to get back to work, but I'll try again as soon as I can.

Same issue on M1 Mac. Looks like it’s because the software uses Rosetta so it’s outdated. No one uses that anymore so we’re in a crash loop. Fix is to have a silicon vs intel version

Looking through previous comments from years past leading up to this, others have mentioned task magic not running as fast on their macs due to this Rosetta issue (which I honestly don't know what it means). But each time it is mentioned here on App sumo by a user, Kyle (development) says he doesn't know what is meant by Rosetta.

I bought tier 4 last time you were on Appsumo, and while I like the app, the fact that it is not optimized for M-series CPUs really sucks.
It is slow and unresponsive on my M1 Pro MBP - still usable, but noticably slower than it should be and much more sluggish than every other app I use. In fact, it works better on my 2013 MBP, which is an almost 10 years older Intel machine. I think that says a lot.
Please let me know if you are planning on improving the performance on newer mac models by finally supporting M-series CPUs natively.

I used a different browser and indeed I could see a newer version, 2.02 which I downloaded but I still get a white screen on the software. I am using Mac 13.7.6 (22H625)
Normally the only time we’ve seen an issue like this it’s been fixed by using a vpn or disabling an active vpn. If that doesn’t work for you can you write into support@taskmagic.com

A: Hey cyber! Normally you’d run the browser automations on your desktop unless you have your own machine ORRR you have our cloud hours. That’s where cloud hours would come in to play Which then the browser based automations run in the cloud. The IP is bc when using browser automation some high traffic’d sites might block you for whatever reason. A browser vpn (IP) masks that for you. Hope that makes sense!

Q: Can TaskMagic copy the design elements of an app or website similar to Mobbin but to Figma?
Hi Jeremy, I just bought Tier 4 and hopefully will learn what Task Magic can do in the next couple of days. Curious if AI in TaskMagic can log into a site that requires a password AND has vision and can discover all the clickable items on a page and then take screen shots of what each button or link does and then copy each design element to a google sheet or even better to Figma. I used a different browser and indeed I could see a newer version, 2.02 which I downloaded but I still get a white screen on the software. I am using Mac 13.7.6 (22H625)

Normally the only time we’ve seen an issue like this it’s been fixed by using a vpn or disabling an active vpn. If that doesn’t work for you can you write into support@taskmagic.com

Jun 11, 2025A: Hey cyber! Normally you’d run the browser automations on your desktop unless you have your own machine ORRR you have our cloud hours. That’s where cloud hours would come in to play Which then the browser based automations run in the cloud. The IP is bc when using browser automation some high traffic’d sites might block you for whatever reason. A browser vpn (IP) masks that for you. Hope that makes sense!

There are about a dozen moderators who moderate those rules. If you think it was done in error, reach out or request access I’m sure it couldn’t have been liking a post

Sure. I urged people to request refunds for all your products because you clearly have a pattern of taking OOS and using them in your own products without proper license compliance. This behavior could potentially harm people's investments in your products. I shared these warnings in private Facebook groups, not in your community. If I had posted anything in your own community I understand (1/2)
Ok cool. So that’s just something you’re assuming then? Bc we’ve never done that before. It’s all open source. There are some compliance issues with tavolo and that’s the only one. Which we fixed Everything else has been compliant or MIT or Apache licensees which are next to no compliance. Fair game. Allowing us to bring inexpensive tech to people that it’s normally out of reach too
Did you put a statement in your TaskMagic page that you used ActivePieces' codes? Any credits to them? You should seriously consider hiring a legal team.

Thanks for the video. You are not fully compliant. There is no attribution to AP on your public TM website. The attribution only appears after accessing the high-tier paywall. I wish your team success as I am also invested in TM's highest tier. I hope you can take this Tavolo incident as an opportunity to learn and improve TM, and perhaps stop calling your user xx.
