Q: Planning GDPR-compliance?
Teable It is a wonderful product. I would really like to work with it. I am based in the Netherlands, Europe, and officially I am not allowed to use it because it is not GDPR compliant. More people have already asked. But can you give an estimate?
I bought Tier 4. That is my investment. What is your investment to also make it a success for me?
I have already bought several products on AppSumo that were dealing with GDPR, but years later I still cannot use them. Could you give me more assurance?

Apr 16, 2026A: Thanks for asking. We definitely want to serve EU users and support GDPR, but over the next three months we don't expect to have enough resources to complete the related compliance enhancements. For longer-term plans, we're not able to provide a confirmed timeline yet — we're taking things step by step. Thanks for your understanding.
That said, here's some practical guidance depending on your use case:
- If your use case does not involve storing or processing third-party personal data (PII): EU customers can use our Cloud version normally.
- If your use case involves storing or processing third-party personal data: We recommend a self-hosted deployment, where data and access control remain fully under your control — making it easier to meet your GDPR compliance requirements.
Please note that the self-hosted plan is not included in the LTD and would need to be purchased separately through our website.
Hello Leo,
Thank you for your quick response. What bothers me is that you gave the same answer six weeks ago and there seems to be no movement. My business is about guiding people, and personal data are important there.
What is the additional benefit if I self‑host it and using the cloud variant? Or can't we just as well stop the cloud variant? That saves double costs. Do you have good usecases?
GDPR compliance is on our roadmap, and we'll continue working toward it step by step.
On the self-hosted question: Cloud and self-hosted offer the same features. The difference is that with self-hosted, you'll need to connect your own AI API key and set up the Agent runtime environment separately, which does involve some additional cost and configuration on your end.
