ApplePieQ: Question about possibility of adjusting granular base resource operation permissions
Hi there! I am loving this product so far. Planning to write a review later as I'm getting a handle on it. I hope you will be around for a long time coming!
I wanted to kindly ask if it'd be possible for granular control to be implemented for base resource operations. Specifically, it would add more peace of mind if we could have more granular control as to what third party AI's can access (BYOK providers) where privacy/training on data is not guaranteed. I'm sure there are many that feel it's both important and don't want sensitive information (records) to be ingested by AI.
For example, each operation has permission enabled checkboxes:
create tables ✓
modify tables ✓
delete tables ☐ (no)
views ✓
fields ✓
records ☐ (no)

What’s available today:
Teable already supports granular access control through Authority Matrix and role-based permissions at the Space, Base, Table, View, and Field levels, including private tables and “see all / edit own” configurations.
With BYOK, API calls go directly from Teable to your selected AI provider. On self-hosted (Docker) deployments, you keep full control of your data pipeline, and Teable does not intercept or store your content in transit.
What you’re requesting:
Per-operation permission toggles for AI access (for example, allow schema modifications but block record reads) are an excellent defense-in-depth idea. It would let teams benefit from AI for structure-level tasks while keeping sensitive record data off-limits to third-party models.
