TubeOnAI: A Powerful Tool for YouTube Summarization and Personal Knowledge Management
Before using TubeOnAI, I would watch YouTube videos and occasionally take notes—but often ended up forgetting much of the content. Now, my viewing habits have changed drastically. Even when watching videos at 2x speed, TubeOnAI helps me capture all the important points through concise summaries. Here’s how I use it:
- I pick a YouTube video to watch.
- While watching, I simultaneously run it through TubeOnAI.
- If a summary is available before I finish watching, I read it first.
- If the summary shows the video is valuable, I watch the entire video.
- Otherwise, I save time by relying on the summary alone.
I first encountered TubeOnAI about a year ago when it was still a relatively new product. At that time, I wasn’t fully confident in its stability and potential. However, after seeing its launch on AppSumo and observing its continuous development, I decided to take a closer look. Since then, I’ve watched the platform mature significantly, with the team working hard to improve both stability and add valuable new features.
One thing that impressed me the most is how responsive the TubeOnAI team is. After purchasing and testing the product, I reported a few bugs, and the team promptly addressed and fixed them. This level of customer support gives me confidence that TubeOnAI will continue to improve and evolve.
The BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) feature is something I’m eagerly awaiting, as it will help ensure the platform’s future stability and revenue stream. While there are many tools available that can summarize YouTube videos, TubeOnAI stands out by evolving into a personal knowledge management tool.
Another key advantage is the fair credit usage compared to other tools that consume credits very quickly. Additionally, TubeOnAI can transcribe videos even if they don’t have subtitles, which effectively makes it a transcription tool as well.
TubeOnAI has great potential and is improving steadily every day. It not only saves time but also helps transform YouTube content into manageable knowledge. For anyone looking to get more value out of their YouTube watching experience, I highly recommend giving TubeOnAI a try.

I am in love with this app.
I really love this app, and I am someone who works with YouTube, so this is a lifesaver for me.
However, there are a few minor bugs that should be addressed:
1. When a video is deleted from the feed, it still reappears after refreshing the page. It takes a lot of time to get deleted from the feed; it's not instant. It's usually expected that when you delete something, it's gone, but here it shows.
2. The release time is confusing. A video that was recently uploaded on YouTube shows on the website as “a few hours ago” or “X hours ago,” which is not correct.
The third issue is that there are reasoning AIs that I expected when purchasing the highest tier. Most of them are listed in the help files for TubeOn AI, but I only see OpenAI 5 versions, which is disturbing.
The most important suggestion is that, as a highest‑tier customer, I should be given the option to BYOK. This would allow me to be more productive, because the current lack of BYOK is a major shortcoming.
If I don’t have the BYOK option, I can achieve the same results that TubeOne AI provides using other automation tools or by creating my own automation with free online services. This gap is significant.I’m giving an honest review.
I was reading a few comments on AppSumo about the product being bombarded with emails. This issue can be resolved by disabling notifications in the settings. If you use Google, like me, many extensions create small tabs in Gmail. You can then search TubeOn AI with a button, which displays all those emails. There are many possible outcomes.
This issue does not warrant downgrading the product. It is very promising, and I hope that, over time, its efficiency and services will improve, which are already more than enough for me. I am really very happy with it.

Really useful on a daily basis!
I've fallen into a habit of watching YouTube videos for information, and TubeOnAI is exactly the tool I've been looking for: Instead of having to watch a whole 15- to 30-minute video to see if there's anything worthwhile in it, I can get a good summary *really* quickly. Then I can decide whether or not to watch the video, to delete it from my feeds, or to save a Markdown-friendly version of the summary to keep in my "second brain".
(Devs: I'd like it if the summary contained a link to the original video, just for later reference.)
I haven't tested the content-creation functions yet, but I cranked this up to Tier 3 just because I really enjoy using the tool and prefer not having to think about credits or limits. I've been generating summaries like mad for a week now, and I've barely made a dent in my credit allowance.
I've run into a tiny glitch here or there, but I'm really not bothered by them; they're drastically outweighed by how amazing this tool is at taming YouTube.

Some really good and some really bad
First off, customer support response times can vary drastically. The last go around took about a week to get a response.
But as far as the product goes, the overall concept is promising. And it delivers on that promise in several ways.
Having videos from creators you sub transcribed and brought into one inbox is nice for the most part.
The problem is that your inbox gets slammed with the overwhelm of chaos and disorganization and it's absolutely painful trying to organize it all with no way to batch them into collections and no labels on the videos telling you if or what collection a video is in. It would really help to have the option to auto add videos to collections based on the subscriber.
Additionally:
Transcriptions regularly show up in the wrong language.
Batch transcribing and downloading videos from a channel never worked for me.
And lots of other bugs rared their ugly heads.
Overall, I think this tool is decent, but I ultimate returned it because for a tool that's supposed to make my life easier it was beginning to feel like too much work dealing with my inbox disorganization, bugs, and poor communication from support.
