Q: Did Vento work to anyone?
I had some questions 2 days ago that unanswered. Since then I had a spin of the free version of Vento.
MY REVIEW:
Setting up is simple and hitting the start seems start the recording just fine, but after clicking on `pause` it takes forever to spin the "preparing your video" .
I wanted to try out the edit features (re-wind, re-record, give a Author annotation or Chapter heading) but as it was still prepare only, showed I can add chapter heading to 0:00 second (totally useless like that).
After more than an hour I decided to refresh page and it occurred the video actually was saved but that time I had no options to make further edit (rewind, rerecord, annotation, chapter heading). As it seems a premium option only.
Tried to open it to watch video but the following message was waiting "Video being processed...
Page will automatically refresh when video is finished processing". Never did.
So without able to watch it, I tried to download to see what was created. After trying but nothing downloaded the following message says: "You have 8 video downloads remaining on your free plan.
Make sure you've edited your video before downloading"
(this time I realised edit is only for premium users also a yellow diamond next to edit option say that).
Needless to say nothing got downloaded again!
Would I like to invest this software knowing the features and user-friendly interface?Absolutely!
Do I spend a cent to buy after try!

As mentioned in another response, we needed to migrate Vento to a new version of next.js so our chat feature has been down. It will be back up in the next couple of days. Looks like you've had some trouble on our free version. Just a note - our free version is in the process of being migrated over to our streaming platform so the recording and upload features are slightly different. We rely on storing data in your browser (on the free version) to send data to our server. When you received that processing issue, it means that all the data didn't make it to the server.
When you redeem, you'll see the feature set and experience is much different (and quite fast). However, we had to make sure we prioritize performance for our paid users first so our free users are still on a older version of Vento (we did this to save costs so we can offer Vento at this price point). This will change in the next week or so as we're wrapping up our infrastructure changes to move free users over to our streaming platform.

Also, I am still don't understand if I want my recorded video stored on my own PC and make further edit by any 3rd party software before upload and host it on my own website space without any Vento watermarks etc.
Can I do that?
