Q: Someone asked if the ability to edit & trim the video is on your roadmap.
This same issue was brought up on a YouTube review I watched, where the reviewer mentioned that it wasn't possible to trim the video in Vento https://youtu.be/u-HItkowtMs?t=483
I think Vento looks like a very useful tool. But I wanted to ask, has there been any progress in implementing some basic editing features? If not, when do you plan to add some editing features?
I hope to avoid having to use additional video editing software just to do some basic editing. So, I wanted to know how Vento is progressing in this aspect, and if we will see some basic editing features coming soon.
Thank you

May 14, 2024A: Hey there! Thanks for asking. We added the ability to Trim video several months ago. After that, we added “Undo All Edits” which allows you to revert your editing changes. We’re in the process of adding more editing changes in the future but right now we’re heads down with our reconnect strategy.
This will allow sumolings with lower connection speeds use Vento properly.
Any additional editing feature you may be interested in?
Thanks for your question!
I'm glad the ability to trim video has been added.
Also, yes, there is another editing feature that I'm interested in. I want to be able to go back to a video that has already been recorded, and insert new video clips at certain points of that video. For example, let's say I'm recording a presentation, but I forgot to include some information that I wanted to be a part of the presentation. In this case, I need to go back to a certain point of the video (which could be any timestamp in the video, including the middle of the video), and just record a new clip to add to that selected point of the video. I want to insert that new clip, without recording over or erasing parts of the video that come after that point. In other words, if I insert new clips, the overall video length will also get longer in the process.
Great Idea! We'll add this to our roadmap!
Hello! I'm interested in editing features for video recording as well. Is there any progress on being able to add clips to a selected point of in the video? Thank you!
