Q: Uploading Videos

I can see in some of the questions below you don't currently have the capability of being able to upload videos.

This is the only thing that's holding me back from purchasing right now, as I have loads of SOPs recorded on Vidyard that I could download and transfer to your software. However, all the time this feature isn't available, I will still have to continue with paying the monthly fee for Vidyard.

My question is, how much of a priority is this feature, and how soon will it be added?

Thanks

A: Hey There! Totally understand that. A couple of points to make the case why this is taking so long:

Most videos are stored in a final format like MP4. However, videos in vento use HLS to stream segments of video to ensure we're not download large files to stream data over the internet. If we allow users to upload videos we need to convert these files to a streamable format and then store them appropriately.

This takes on additional cost from a processing and storage perspective. And since we want to be around from the long run, we need to assess this correctly and implement the right way.
