I thought well this could be perfect create some videos for retargeting and done. Well i started to create a video. although i hoped. I learned from the reviews not to use the feed directly because when it goes bad you waste your credits. So i started manual, but that was no succes. I uploaded the logo and its in the dashboard but it wont do anything with it.
So i thought f.. this i go for east peasy merchant connection. Google merchant center has all the data so just plug and play right? Well nowhere to be found is an explanation how that works. So you know last resort support. They use intercom. But what it seems no or little staf. Send email, chat, no response. 2 days in.
I am not perfect but when a new costumers comes to me for business i treat them like a king/queen. Support is key for a new product who has to prove themselves.
I will edit the review when i have new information. Otherwise refund and go to something else.
The Good: Great concept. This is the future of content production. I love the idea of producing videos in bulk, even connecting it with other tools ( like scrapping ones) and send personalized videos as a cold contact. Didn't make it happen yet, but i know it's possible with integromat/ zapier.
The Bad: we are required to send to support our templates. Having a simple template editor it would be amazing. I know the main goal of the tool is e-commerce, but I see much more potential in content creation.
The Ugly: Lies. This is the deal-breaker ( probably I am no stacking and refunding). They offer gif export on the deal page, but when I asked to support how to do they say it is not included on the deal and ask for an upgrade. Checked their page and now they changed the plans and the "medium" and large pack includes gif. That's just sad.
It's been weeks since the announcement, the shopify app is nowhere to be seen (which is fine), but the internal feed still isn't recognized. Is it EVER going work?
Never, ever had such unacceptable experience on AppSumo
I can understand an app joining appsumo being in development, lacking features and/or be a bit buggy. Most of the cases are in early stages. I get this and actually I helped some of them in the past and even now as i'm writing this. I get it, that's the game, see the potential and jump in. What I don't get is being rude and deciding to carry one with their life while they costed me time (money will get back, time I'm not) and came close to lose a client.
Platform unable to deliver a proper run, Said guys don't worry, we'll get it sorted together. A few hundreds credits burned and never reissued. Didn't bother. Not supporting Greek fonts, asked kindly to get it corrected. No reply till the day of my meeting with the client who got pumped up. Had to apologise! Next they told me to chose 1.... hear hear chose ONE TEMPLATE TO ADD GREEK TO because engineering is busy with other languages. Spent my last sanity drop and asked them to suggest a monthly deliverable, so I know how many licenses will have at the end of each period and plan accordingly. Oh man, I want so much to start talking French now bit I need this to go out. no response, after another two follow ups. I might need to hire a person just to deal with Vidyou.
Calling out app sumo here, there should be some bear minimum you can guarantee. I'm an old client back from the damn start when Noah left stupid FB. Being around since then. Don't expect a random company with false promises to break this relationship.
If they treat a 6-stack like this for asking font, F O N T S, what else to expect. Avoid dependencies with this service at all cost. Plain liability.
