I was not really impressed with the voice cloning offered by the different TTS software options that I have. I didn't get Vocallab for the voice cloning, it was because the quality of their voices for other use was good. I needed something very quickly and I said let me try the voice cloning just to see how it sounds. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the quality of my voice as well as the natural expressions that I heard. This is an absolute game changer for my workflow. I am so impressed that I upgraded from tier 3 to tier 4. I only hope that they stay in business and don't change the terms of the deal. If that happens then this is by far one of the best deals that I've gotten.

The voices are terrible, they can't follow a script and lack emotion and authenticity. I cloned my voice and it sounded like someone else, and also had no emotion - just not worth it.

I rarely leave reviews, but this one earned it
I almost never leave reviews, to be honest. With lifetime deals you never really know what's going to happen, here today, gone tomorrow, and plenty of them just fade away over time. So I usually wait and see before saying anything. But I'm making an exception for VocalLab, because it's genuinely one of the best purchases I've made here.
It's fast and dead simple to use: paste your text, pick a voice, done. No fuss, no learning curve. And where it really won me over was the API, the integration is clean and smooth, and for anyone automating their workflow, that changes everything. In a lot of ways it felt even better than ElevenLabs.
I've also been using it heavily for Spanish voices, and it performs spectacularly, natural, clear, and none of the robotic stiffness you often get with other tools in non-English languages. That alone makes it a keeper for me.
The voice cloning was what sealed the deal, though. With shorter samples than I expected, I cloned my own voice and liked the result more than on other platforms I've tried. It sounded natural and true to the original.
