Hi! Our websites are reachable and our monitoring systems have not reported any downtime in the last hours. Could you please try again? https://webdiff.app/ As for the Traditional Chinese content, there should be no problem but we have never done any tests in that language. If you encounter any problem our support is at your complete disposal!
Hello, I’m based in Taiwan, Asia. After multiple attempts, I can confirm that your website is currently inaccessible from my location. Please kindly recheck the site availability. Thank you!
Hi Sam! Thanks for the info. We don't have any geoblocks in that area, could you please send us your public IP address to info@webdiff.app so we can check further? Thanks a lot!
Q: Pre-sale question
Hello,
I love the concept of the tool. I want to confirm a few points:
1. Do you have a roadmap? 2. I have a few websites, some of which have over +100 pages. Is there a way to add all the pages at once instead of one by one? 3. Some of the websites are multilingual, mainly in Arabic and other languages. Will the tool work with them? 4. Where the reports are saved and for how long? 5. Can I run the comparison automatic? e.g. I do automatic updates to the websites then the tool run automatically to check?
A: Hi Ahmed, thanks for your interest in WebDiff! Here are the answers to your questions: - Sure! You can find our roadmap here: https://docs.webdiff.app/roadmap.html - You can insert the web pages of a website by directly importing the sitemap, this way you don't have to insert them manually: https://docs.webdiff.app/sitemap-import.html - If the pages in the different language each have their own unique URL, WebDiff will work without problems - The reports are saved on your computer, and there is no expiration date, you can keep them there for as long as you need - At the moment the checks have to be launched manually, we already plan to implement automatic comparisons but this feature is not yet in our roadmap
A: Hi! 1) You can enter the webpages you want to compare one by one, or you can enter only the url of the sitemap of the website, and WebDiff will automatically extract all the webpages of the website from the sitemap.
2) There is no limit on the number of pages in one comparison
3) Yes, you could change computer, but you would have to uninstall the app from one device and reinstall the app on the second device each time. There are no limit on the number of seat changes
4) The app work independently, so it still work in every case
1a) Would it also be possible to just add the domain and WebDiff crawls it's way trough all links - without having a sitemap? 1b) Is it possible to start the comparison with example.com, then do changes (maybe an CMS update) and then start the comparison with the same domain example.com, but after the changes?
Hi msw! 1a) At the moment only manual pages insertion or import from sitemap are available. The link crawl is a nice feature, we will keep it in mind for future updates.
1b) Absolutely yes, you can Analyze V1 of the site "example.com" before the changes, then make the changes (eg. the CMS update), finally run the V2 analysis on the same address "example.com". WebDiff compare the 2 site versions
Q: About Mobile Display
Most websites have more users from mobile. Even Google recommends mobile-first. When do you plan to support mobile display? Do you have any immediate plans to do so?
A: Hi sato! Yes we have in our plans to develop the visual comparison also on mobile resolution. At the moment it is not yet in our roadmap but we will surely develop it in the second half of the year!
hi, A question regarding updates. Currently in version 1. If you upgrade to version 2, will we keep our app updated if we buy here with appsumo? Thank you for your reply
A: Hi Mahyar! WebDiff currently requires you to run comparisons manually, meaning you have to go into the app and run them whenever you like. Automatic or scheduled comparisons is something we have in mind but it's not on our roadmap yet. You can also check out our documentation for more information: https://docs.webdiff.app/
Was reading thru the previous question about comparing a full website instead of just a page and it sounds like it's possible but you have to add all the urls. Is it possible to add the sitemap instead? What would be even better is if we could add the domain and then have a toggle for full site comparison or single page.
Also, setting it up in advance and running comparisons on a schedule or beng able to set a trigger to run at a specific time (eg: whenever the site has been updated or a change has been made to a page), would be super helpful!
A: Hi! Yes, at the moment you need to insert the urls manually, but support for automatic insertion via sitemap is already in our roadmap (We will soon publish the roadmap here and/or on our website, so you can always know what's cooking!) Thanks also for the suggestion on scheduling, we will definitely take it into consideration for future developments!
A: Hi! Currently you have to enter the webpages you want to compare one by one, but by the end of April (this month) we will release an update that will allow you to enter only the url of the sitemap of the website, and WebDiff will automatically extract all the webpages of the website from the sitemap, so you do not have to enter them manually. This and other updates are listed in our roadmap: https://docs.webdiff.app/roadmap.html
I will keep you updated when this update is released!
Hi! As promised I wanted to let you know that yesterday we released the ability to import webpages to compare directly from a sitemap 👌
Q: Workflow / Bulk
Could you please give me a more detailed insight into the possible workflow with this tool? I manage 40 client websites, for example. Every Monday, I perform updates with one click on all websites. So, how do I proceed in your app? Do I create Link 1 before triggering the updates and Link 2 once the updates are complete? Can I make a bulk version 1 for all 40 domains including all subpages in your app, then a bulk version 2, and the report will tell me exactly which subpage on which domain has had a change? Or do I need to check each of the 40 domains individually?
A: Hi! The flow you described is correct: -> Run Version 1 analysis -> Run Updates -> Run Version 2 analysis -> Get the change report
There is currently no feature that allows you to run multiple comparisons at the same time, so you should run them one by one and read the report for each. The bulk feature seems very interesting to us though, so we will add it in our roadmap for the second half of 2025 :)
A: Hi! WebDiff is a very young project, the first public release is in December 2024. TangoDev, the company that created WebDiff, was founded in 2016. We will publish a roadmap on AppSumo and on our website very soon, by the end of the week!
A: Hello! The comparison execution is launched manually from the app, so to know when the comparison is finished and the report with the results is available, you just have to wait for the notification from the app :)
A: Hi! WebDiff allows you to compare any website before and after an update, potentially even social media, but it doesn't work on websites that require you to log in
Q: Can I upload 2 HTML pages, not hosted to see the difference?
Does it only do hosted or live site pages? I'm interested in checking HTML pages that I've been working on and I'd like to see the difference between the two pages. Could I give it to HML files and ask it to tell me the main differences?
A: Hi! Sure, you could do it for example using a software like "XAMPP" or "npm serve" to make the pages you are developing reachable on http://localhost (example: http://localhost/page1.html, http://localhost/page2.html, etc.), and then you can use these URLs to create comparisons in WebDiff
Hello, Will I be able to get a report : - in French? - PDF (with my own logo AND customer logo, etc.) Or is it just in the desktop app, and only in English... Thanks.
A: Hi! At the moment the software is in English and Italian, but we do not exclude adding other languages in the next few months :) At the moment the report can only be consulted from the desktop app, but the possibility of exporting it to PDF is already in our roadmap (which we will publish soon on appsumo and/or on our website). Customizing the report with logos etc. is not planned at the moment, but we will take this idea into consideration for future developments 💪
A: Hello! For moving parts you can use the source code comparison, so you can see in detail if parts that are not visible in the visual comparison have been modified. We are working on managing some of the most popular sliders (swiper js, slider revolution, etc.), so that they do not move during the visual comparison, but at the moment this functionality is not there yet.
I want to know what web changes my competitors have made in the spring-winter season changes. So, can I in Spring paste the url of my competitor in Wevdiff, and then in Winter repeat the process keeping the first analysis in Wevdiff until I repeat the action in winter 9 months later?
In other words, not all websites change every day so if Wevdiff does not keep the first analysis in his memory, we will never be able to compare it with the last one (long time later).
A: Hi! Yes it is absolutely possible to do it with WebDiff, you just need to: 1 - Create the comparison with all the pages you want to check 2 - In spring, launch the analysis of Version 1 3 - In winter (9 months later), launch the analysis of Version 2.
This way you will get in the report the comparison between the pages in spring and the same pages in winter.
This is possible because WebDiff allows you to decide when to run the analyses of Version 1 and Version 2, thus allowing you maximum freedom of use.
If you have any other questions do not hesitate to ask us!
Not possible since in Step 2 of 3: '“Add web pages your comparison”' after entering “'URL Version 1”'', it forces you to enter the web “'URL Version 2”', and without this last step I cannot continue to save the record and make the comparison later.
To create the comparison you have to enter both the URL of Version 1 and Version 2. In your case, if you want to compare the same website at two different times you can enter the same URL for both Version 1 and Version 2. Once you have created the comparison you can launch the Version 1 and Version 2 analyses at your convenience :)

Many thanks. I will check all the points.
Q: Crawling available?
1) Does the tool crawl the two websites you want to compare itself by crawling them? Or do you always need a list of URLs for both?
2) How many subpages per website could be compared in one run?
3) Are we able to change the computer assigned to a seat by deactivating them? Are there any limits on how often we are allowed to change the seats?
4) Just for the worst case: What would happen if you stop developing one day (shut down selling it). Would the tool still work then in future?
Thanks a lot :)
