Can I ask how this relates to demonstration videos that purposefully need quiet time while say a procedure is being carried out?
Can Wisecut AI work out that with the continued movement an area is not for cutting or will it automatically remove areas where there is no speaking? Thanks Glenn

For now, the punch-in/out feature is fully automatic, although you can create more punch-in/outs by creating additional cuts with the scissor tool. Wisecut punches in every two scenes, so it’s crucial that your video has cuts for the feature to be applied.
As for the Auto Punch-In (Auto Zoom) feature, we use facial recognition. If there’s a long scene in which you start in one position and end in a very different position, the framing might get lost. We suggest splitting long scenes when this happens and rendering the video again so that the algorithm can work its magic. To split the scene, you can use the scissors tool.
Adding more control to the punch in/out feature is on our roadmap, but we don’t have an ETA for shipping it yet.

Yet, we've seen the need for an improved video editing tool that offers Flixier-class editing, with additional bells and whistles of the kind InVideo and Wave Video offer (e.g., Wave Video's cool audiogram overlay feature!), and generous sub-titles generation limits.
I see promise in Wisecut. Yet, I worry about whether this startup has legs. Here's why:
1) The website doesn't say anything about the startup team. If you're proud of what you've built, I'd expect the startup team to share some info about themselves, with pride. Could this be a mostly-outsourced product? A side project?
2) The website doesn't even state where the business is located. (I don't want to rely merely on AppSumo's deal-vetting team.) Their Terms of Service don't even state their jurisdiction and the governing laws ("The Governing Wisecut..."!) that would apply in any dispute. A shoddy copy/paste ToS?
3) Their Instagram page is down. Banned by Instagram, for reason?
I've still bought a Tier 2 license (AppSumo's 60-day trial would help to guard against buyer's remorse) and am choosing to post my concerns as questions here, rather than a review (that wouldn't be fair to the startup).

Q: I create property videos for my clients and have a few questions:
1.
Are we free to use the exported videos commercially to sell to clients?
2. Can I upload my own music selections and have Wisecut edit the video timed to that music?
3. I shoot in LOG profiles exclusively for this work. Can wisecut properly color correct and color grade log footage to maximize the dynamic range potential of the footage?
4. If I upload clips shot of a property do I need to pre-cut them so there is no unusable footage at the beginning and end of each clip?
5. Typically around 30-40 clips will go into one video; can Wisecut handle this volume of input media to render a final product that is 1-3min long?
6. Do I need to add clips in the order I want them to appear in the final video? Or can Wisecut make decisions on when and where to put clips in the timeline?
I have a feeling this tool isn’t going to be a good fit for me, which is fine, you have something pretty amazing for a lot of people. But I want to make sure it does or doesn’t make sense for me before committing.
At the moment Wisecut doesn’t offer a screen recording feature. But you can use Quicktime or Zoom to screen record it and edit it with Wisecut. We plan to add this feature in the future.

We've recently shipped a new version of Wisecut that automatically removes the filler words. We've also added a new feature called "Smooth Cuts." I'd suggest creating your projects with the "Smooth Cuts" turned on first and see if you like it. The new version of Wisecut will remove most of the filler words while keeping the edit smooth. Sometimes, when you remove a filler word in a middle of a sentence, your video may look too cutty, so that is why we have "Smooth Cuts" as the standard feature.
But if you feel like there are still some filler words you want to be removed, turn off the "Smooth Cuts" feature, and Wisecut will remove more filler words and create more cuts.

If I purchase tier 1 and want to upgrade to Tier 2 later, how does that work and how much would it cost? Should I buy Tier 2 now for future use? Thanks
You can upgrade while the campaign is live on Appsumo. Once a deal has sold out of the AppSumo store you will only see the option to downgrade in your account as there are no additional licensing tiers available for purchase.

Just say, for PC/Mac we can click add new video and use Webcam to start record directly. Or a future mobile App that can use selfie cameras etc. like VlogEasy App.

While the project is rendering, you can’t edit it but once the project has been rendered you can reopen the project by clicking the “Reopen Project” button.

Just an FYI that although I have your Tier 3 plan, there is a bug for "reopen for edit" projects that it asks the user to pay or upgrade on the "preview and export" page.
I'm using an incognito browser window as suggested but it doesn't actually seem to make any difference.
I've uploaded an hour-long video yesterday ... and now, over 20 hours later ... it still says processing. And the progress bar isn't moving at all.
I tried uploading the video again an hour later as I had seen before that this sometimes makes a difference ... but that's still spinning too ... AND ... both are deducting time from the limited amount of minutes we have available.
Sending a mail to support is not particularly helpful as replies are taking very long, eg 2 support mails I had sent last week (eg one urgent one where Wisecut deleted 2 of my projects :-O ) are still not answered 5 days later

Thanks for your question. Although you can theoretically open Wisecut on different computers at the same time, Wisecut doesn’t support team members yet. This feature is under review in our roadmap below.
Please note that any future features that we haven't thought about or haven't evaluated the costs of building, we can't really promise they all will be included in the LTD plan. Although, if we don't include them in the AppSumo deal, we will definitely offer a great discount to AppSumo users.

While the project is rendering, you can’t edit it but once the project has been rendered you can reopen the project by clicking the “Reopen Project” button.
