I purchased this license expecting to be able to intelligently cut long videos, generate Shorts of 30 seconds or less, automatically center the face, and add Spanish subtitles.

However, WiseCut generates clips that are too long, usually over one minute, and **does not allow users to choose the clip duration**. This limitation means the results do not meet my needs, and as a result, I have barely been able to use the tool.

It would be very useful to have the option to select durations such as **7, 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds**, or to set a custom maximum duration. For this reason, I am giving it **2 stars**. I believe **Reap** currently delivers results that are closer to what I am looking for.

I seldomly leave negative reviews, but I must in good conscience write about my experience with WiseCut. I came across the product just a few days before the AppSumo offer expired. I was impressed at the claims of what it does, and took a leap of faith and not only bought the base package, but purchased extra monthly processing time (non refundable) to the tune of 14 hours ($400 USD) BIG MISTAKE!!! Although the UI looks good, it's the FUNCTIONALITY of the application that is the problem. I've successfully uploaded several files to the platform using the app and several browsers, but after processing it consistently returns, "No Clips Created" (this is the reason why I purchased it in the first place). After fighting with the useless A.I. Chat Bot (talks in circles - offering no help) - I have repeatedly reached out to their support email - with no resolution.

Is it possible that I am missing something - that I don't understand how to interact with it? Yes, definitely. But when the creator refuses to provide guidance...

Support for this product is NON-existent! BTW, I have been completely professional in my communication style and now after waiting for months with no reply - I must state that this is hands-down the worst product that I have ever purchased on AppSumo. If I could, I would leave a ZERO taco rating! I am SO disappointed...

I MODIFIED THIS REVIEW based on the response below. It's now 4 stars instead of 1 star. I didn't realize the STUDIO EFFECT was the problem. It's good to know that I can turn it off and preserve the original audio. I'm also happy to hear that Wisecut is working on making the subtitle position adjustable. This is a necessity. If they can prioritize it, it will make the product so much better.

I couldn't find a way to reposition the subtitles. Is this even possible? If not, it won't work for me because the subtitles cover my face when it punches in. Unfortunately, it seems that Wisecut AI currently lacks the ability to move or reposition auto-generated subtitles to a specific location on the screen. The subtitles are burned-in at a fixed default location.

I also had some issues with the audio quality.

If they fix the problems, I'd love to keep the product and change this review. But unless they can fix it, I'll have to return my AppSumo purchase.

I really like the app and I think it has great potential and a bright future. I hope you keep improving it and release a mobile version, as that would be very useful. I also hope you don’t forget about the AppSumo users when you achieve great success—success is exactly what I wish for you.

It would also be amazing if you added artificial intelligence features so we could interact with the app using voice commands and have the AI carry them out. I hope you launch that soon.

I'm using this to take longer videos (90) and turns them into clips with cc.

Wisecut is easy to get going on, and I think does a mostly great job of taking that video and selecting the best clips BUT it is still AI. I like that if a word needs to be edited out (like "ums" ) it is incredible easy to do that (whether through the AI or manually) and for the most part the corresponding video cut is acceptable.

What I am struggling with is that the AI titles and tags on my shorter videos are close but not correct and I can't edit them nor can I delete the ones that are redundant or unwanted; this is in part because I'd like to be able to merge some of the clips. I think I'll have to set up a spreadsheet to track which clips I'm using to merge so I''m finding it difficult to track and keep a sensible work flow with.

It's also incredible slow when I make edits to the clips and I end up refreshing to make sure it's actually taken, but having said all that I do think there is good value here, and all in all it does make my editing easier.

I bought the extra minutes as well in the LTD and am grateful I did because I can see myself using this regularly despite the aformentioned issues. I can see how it would be really limiting if I didn't get the add on.

note: I did reach out to Customer Support two days ago to see if these issues (not being able to edit tags & titles and delete unwanted clips) are features that are coming or if there's a glitch; I have not heard back yet. UPDATE on June 12th: Customer Service did respond - these features are not currently available but the request has been passed on.
