For now, the punch-in/out feature is fully automatic, although you can create more punch-in/outs by creating additional cuts with the scissor tool. Wisecut punches in every two scenes, so it’s crucial that your video has cuts for the feature to be applied.

As for the Auto Punch-In (Auto Zoom) feature, we use facial recognition. If there’s a long scene in which you start in one position and end in a very different position, the framing might get lost. We suggest splitting long scenes when this happens and rendering the video again so that the algorithm can work its magic. To split the scene, you can use the scissors tool.

Adding more control to the punch in/out feature is on our roadmap, but we don’t have an ETA for shipping it yet.
