1) Can you make videos WITHOUT music?

Absolutely! You can turn off the smart background music toggle before or after you create your projects.

2) Also, can you export just audio with this like in Descript?

Yes, if your upload is an audio file, then wisecut will export an audio file. Now, if your upload is a video file, Wisecut will export a video file. In the future, we can definitely make it available to convert video to audio.

3) This looks similar in some ways to Pictory which is on here right now. How would you say you are different?

Sure thing! We have two features that work together (but can be turned off to work separately).

The Auto Cut Silences will identify long pauses and delete them automatically, creating what is called jump cuts.

A jump cut is a sudden cut between two sequential shots of the same subject from a stationary camera angle that makes the subject appear to “jump” in frame.

This editing technique is very popular among YouTubers because it doesn't require multiple cameras and is an expedient way of maintaining an engaging pace.

But what if you could make it look like there was a second camera? That’s why we created the Auto Punch In/Out

Wisecut is set to “punch in” and “punch out” automatically. In other words, Wisecut will scale up some shots to create the illusion of an additional camera within closer range. Then, in the following scene, Wisecut will scale back the shot to its original dimensions, giving the impression that you have returned to the wide-range camera. This widely used technique ensures that cuts or jump cuts have a more organic flow while using one camera.

5)Could this be used for longe videos, like and hour?

Absolutely, 1-hour video is no problem! Please note that the limit per file is 90 minutes, but you can combine separate files in the same project, and Wisecut will stitch them together for you. So, in the end, you can have projects that are as long as you want.
